I am going on a trip with some close family members soon and will be gone for a month or two.
I am about to cancel my subscription for the time being so I am not charged
Your website's will be out on hold for up to six months. I had a five month break and WA reinstalled all my sites

Just so you're aware Jim, that changed a few months ago and it's now only 60 days for backups.
Okay, thanks Chrystopher, that's a bit disappointing. I'm still trying to catch up to the changes made. Jim
Unfortunately you can't go back to being a Starter Member, when you cancel, you lose all access to the platform and your websites will go offline. WA keep a backup of your websites for up to 60 days, so when you subscribe, they can be restored. If you will be away longer then that, you will need to take your own backups. You might want to move your websites to another host, if you want them to stay online. I'd recommend taking your own backup regardless, using All in One WP Migration.

Is it likely that your destination will have wifi you can use? Even if it is only on your phone, you may be able to find time to work on your sites and thus avoid any website admin headaches.
