What is it involved in the process of publishing a site? Is it better to do it manually or with the help of a software?

Thanks Kyle, but will the features on your system help me to get my site indexed automatically on Google by itself or, do I need to submit the site myself as well? how about submitting too to get the site indexed in Yahoo, Bing etc? Is it needed?
