Editing Your Comments
I'm going to keep this pretty simple today my friends. Short and sweet too.
Every day as I read peoples blogs many times I wonder "doesn't anyone else know how to edit comments?"
So...here you go. The little box on the right corner of your comments space, that has Actions on it,
is your edit tool.
When you leave a comment and fail to proofread it, you can go back any time and edit it or delete it.
I'm a reader folks, when I have time anyway, many times when reading something online, if it's full of errors I'll leave. To me it shows lack of caring or laziness. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way either.
Our writing is our 'calling card' to our audience it's so important because it can make us or break us.
If you practice on your comments in here you'll become a better writer.
Just a 'heads up' OK folks so we can all get better at what we do.
I hope somebody finds this useful.
Have a success filled day.:-)
Jon

Good advice, I guess you will edit away the extra "and" you have in line 7 .......have a great weekend
Pretty good test huh? Now I know who to call on when I need a good proofreader.(((-; J
Thank you Marith.
It's a good idea to proofread before you leave the comment, but at least we have the ability to fix it if need be. Thanks for the reminder, very helpful information for everyone. Michelle
Hi Michelle, thanks for the response. I just hope this helps many of the new folks to become better at writing. You have a great weekend.(-: J
Thanks for sharing Jon, I edit mine here and there...sometimes I write them and don't proof read them, but when someone reply's I notice I made an error sometimes, so I fix it. :))
Hi Kim, thanks for the visit. I know you are aware of this, I posted it for new folks, who aren't. I do the same thing myself with some bleary eyed comments.lol. We all know how that goes.(-: J
Hi Jim, thanks for the response. I just figured there are so many new folks, it was time to post this.
Carla Ives has some very good writing, grammar & usage tips that I have filed away if you would like to have the links. (-: J
I do that as well,. I will go back and read a comment and think, wow I must have been tired when I wrote that, and then correct it and hope not too many people saw the errors, lol!
Hi Christa, that's what it's about. We are all here to have effective businesses, with blogging, writing well is the lifeblood of our business.

I try to proofread my comments as soon as I post....I know myself well enough that hitting the wrong key, spelling errors, word omissions...happen when trying to go to quickly or not hitting those darn keys the way I was supposed to! lol
I really appreciate the reminder....I've been getting a little lazy on this point.....thank you!
We all make mistakes in typing Rosie. I just figured with as many new follows as I've been having, there were lots of new folks who didn't know this. You write very well!.(-: J
Well, thank you for the compliment....it is just that lately I have been too lax in using capital letters... example: like when i was...it looks bad....

I use this all the time! Never thought about others not knowing about it. Good catch, Jon.
Hi Debbie, Thanks. I think all of my new people are busy on their sites. Hopefully some of them will benefit from this. (-: J
