Computer is very slow
Hello, Well what should I do, delete some cookies,or eat some cookies, My computer is very slow loading, should go through everything and delete things I don't need or maybe get more Ram or put in for a tune up, something has to be done to speed things up, I might has CHAT GPT or gemini or copilot one of them anyway, so if I am M.I.A for two or three days, Mr computer is getting a tune up, have a great day everyone. cheers Jon

one thing i found is that my browser was leaking memory....
so the temp memory was filling to overflowing...
a little application called rammap soon put paid to that...
it's free and i run it several times a day...
i just look at the memory useage via resouce monitor and if the blue is too large then use rammap to get rid of it...click empty>>empty standby list
and your temp memory becomes free....
so it does all depend on why your computer is slowing down...but browsers and windows are some of the main culprits...and if you haven't then updating to a solid state drive is a big speed gain....
Hello, I know what you are getting at. my browser is full and then the three dots at the end that I can click on brings up more app icons to click on, so I think that is something to look at, cause really I should be clicking on that square icon which is the start button to show you your apps that you what to get. cheers have a great weekend Jon

Hi, do you know some CMD commands to fix things? If you never used it before, I have to warn you! But if you love fixing things, I can give you some steps and the machine might respond well after that. First, these issues are caused by corrupted system files, which can be fixed with a command, or by having a full C: drive, which means you need to free up some disk space.
I have several computer books on Amazon, but for this issue, you don't need to read the whole book full of codes, do you? If your hard disk is not yet full, which you can check by navigating to "This PC" and see if the C: drive is nearly full or not, then please try to run a disk check as an Admin using the command below:
sfc /scannow
