Compartmentalize, try try try try again.know when to take a break!
So, pretty simple right, well not always. I think it takes half a lifetime to learn how to conquer some of the things in life that make working and living and day to day stress easier to deals with me. Some of my friends know me as the basket lady, because I always give them advice to put things in different baskets and not try to juggle all their issues at one time. I definitely do that and even compartmentalize things in a way that I handle things one at a time. For me, life works better that way. Of course it isn't always perfect, and your have to adjust, but I can't focus on what I'm concentrating on if I'm worrying about something else.
Recently, well last week, I was having technical trouble with something in one of the lessons, and it was really eating me alive. I love to solve things, read, ask questions, figure it out, and i t wasn't happening. I tried and tried and tried, because I'm a go getter, but after two days, it changed from being a hard charged to being I want to throw my computer and punch the wall.....well that would not be good. I need my hand and my computer. So as a mature adult, it is wise to realize when a good adult time out is a good idea. I gave myself 2 days off to do other things I had been neglecting. I cleaned house, did laundry, went out and played with my dog, and today I logged back in and within 30 minutes and solved my issue. Never be afraid to take a break when you find yourself utterly frustrated. You probably need it.
