Off to Work again!
Ah yeah! 4:00 AM Saturday morning and I'm up to do my half day at work just to have my health insurance. If I weren't working and had to pay full premium for my insurance, I would be broke in a few years.
I had an episode with my heart in October of 2012 and again in January of 2013 the two days I spent in the hospital for the second episode cost around $27000.00. Without insurance, a few stays in the hospital, my life's savings would be wiped out with those kind of charges.
Fortunately I only have a few more months before retiring, but I've discovered one thing about working a boring job. If I had to do the same thing over and over day in and day out I would go stark crazy.
When there's a place like WA giving help to anyone who's willing to help themselves, why people continue this for years for a token of pay is nuts.
As a business owner I paid my employees money needed to pay their bills and live a comfortable life. I knew if they were worried about paying bills their concentration would not be on their job and my business would suffer.

Yes, I know how those bills can add up so quick! I am still paying off doctor bills from a few years ago, even though I do have insurance through my workplace it just doesn't pay for a lot of things, plus with having the deductible to worry about paying off before they will even pay on anything per year is ridiculous! I'm almost tempted to drop my insurance, but then I think of the possibility that something serious could happen and how much it costs for even one day at the hospital.
So, speaking of work, I guess I need to get some sleep before I have to go to work at 3:00 am UGH!

Thank God I do have good insurance, my cost was only $865.00 for the hospital and doctors. I guess I can tolerate a few more months of work.
