choosehow's everybody doing? Personally, I am doing great!

I am working on my first site and it is very exciting.

I couldn't wait to start monetizing my site and I found a little trick I would like to share with my WA family.

I have signed up for a couple of relevant affiliate offers and I wanted to include advertisements on certain pages. For example, one of my pages on my website is about water. So on that page I wanted to include an add for life straw which is a personal water filtration system that allows you drink "dirty" water and it cleans it before it hits your lips.

The problem I ran into was that my particular theme only had a primary sidebar which would include this "widget" on every page. That is not what I wanted. I wanted the ability to advertise this product on my water page.

The sollution, Custom sidebars plugin

so first you go to your dashboard in WP click on plugins add new

then in the search field type custom sidebars

After that the results will come up. Choose this one. It has good ratings and I find it very easy to work with.

Now all you have to do is activate it.

Then go back to your dashboard click on appearance and then widgets, there you will see a blue button that says create custom sidebar.

In the picture above I have created a Post Sidebar which I can customize and widgetize it individually for each post or page.

Figuring this out took some effort but now it is effortless for me to customize all my advertising.

Once you create your sidebare you can add widgets to it, or buttons, or text. I added text which was the html code for my advertisement which contains my unique link.
