The Long Game Chronicles

This is the secret to blogging success in this century. If you're willing to work hard and be patient for years or even decades before seeing any benefits, then THIS IS YOUR GOLDEN TICKET! Let's talk about why "the long game" can make a huge difference in some funny, entertaining stories that will engage your mind.

The long game

"I'm a little old lady," she said to the visitors. "Oh, are you a blogger too?" One of them replied. "No, I told her in reply. "I'm just four years old." The group laughed and agreed it was an excellent joke!

The Procrastinator

I was a huge procrastinator. I would do everything else before anything remotely productive. But then, one day, I discovered this amazing thing called "productivity"!

Productivity is kind of like doing things! It's just that it takes time and effort to get any real benefits out of it, instead of the instant gratification you get from watching TV or wasting your day away on Facebook. And while it might seem like you can't possibly make any progress when there are so many other distractions around--you know what?

That's not true! The only way to maintain productivity in this world is by learning to say no, which means setting some boundaries for yourself and making sure you're taking care of yourself first.

Creating an Epic Masterpiece

I never wanted to blog. But one day, my friend told me that blogging is just like telling stories for a living. "It's not working," she said. "You're creating art."

So I wrote down the funniest story of my life and posted it on my blog. And people loved it! It was a huge hit with the commenters - they were all laughing out loud about how I tricked my dad when he came home from work with an orange juice instead of his usual beer because I thought he might be driving again after having a few too many at lunchtime. My blog got so much traffic that even Google made a website just for me about how to write funny blogs!

What Next!

It was a Monday, and everything was going well until you realize that you have no idea what to do next. With so many tasks left unfinished and the looming fear of a pileup at work on your shoulders, it's hard to know where to start.

But this is when the "to-do" app comes in handy. It gives you something creative to do every day without having to devise your own plan for what tasks need doing; this allows us more mental space than figuring out how our days should go when life gets hectic (thanks, neuroscience!).

Frogs the Long Game to Success

One day, long ago, a group of frogs gathered around to decide on the next big thing. The only rule? All ideas had to be new and had never been done before.

The first frog said he wanted to build a bridge across the river so that all his friends could come to visit him from over the other side. This idea was quickly thrown out by the others who found it too common and not creative enough--the group needed something different!

The second frog then suggested they build a ladder so that everyone in their village could climb up onto roofs whenever they pleased--this seemed like an adequate idea for a while, but as one of them pointed out that this would take about five minutes because there's nothing original about it.

Silly Frogs Should Write Blogs

I took a stroll down by the river, and I came across this group of frogs playing with some logs. One frog would jump on the log. Then another one would tackle him off before he got to do anything too fun. It was like this game they had going on, but it didn't seem very fair. I started thinking about how much time these guys were wasting with their little games instead of doing something productive - you know, like writing blogs!

Oasis of Life

One day a young man is walking through the desert and falls off a cliff. The fall leaves him hopelessly lost, scared, hungry and dehydrated. He's about to give up when he sees an oasis in the distance! After drinking his fill from the refreshing water and eating some fruit growing on the side of a palm tree, he looks around for someone to thank, but there’s no one there.

Confused by this turn of events, he walks over to take a closer look at the area surrounding the oasis - only to find himself face-to-face with his reflection! It turns out that this particular oasis is actually just an enormous mirror!

Start Small and Grow

A group of animals was huddled in a circle, talking about what they could do to improve their lives. "My life is so boring," said the guinea pig. "I'm always stuck at home. I wish there were more for me to do."

"I don't like my job, and it takes up way too much time," complained the rat. "There are only three TV channels we can watch!" yelped the dog, who also didn't like his job or his boss.

The elephant paced around them and stomped her foot on the ground before she spoke: "Can you all stop complaining? There's plenty of stuff that you can do today if you start small!
