The Foundation Is Rebuilt

Hi WAers!

This is me again, typing into the text box, not assisted by my AI tools for now. I hope you will find this update inspiring, empowering, and integrating in several ways.

Okay, let's get it done!

Since I came back to Nairobi from Juba, cleaned my house, paid rent, and renewed my Wi-Fi subscription, I have been very busy rewriting and heavily editing my articles. You already know I pruned them down from 700 published articles to 81. Now, there are 90 articles, and I don't want to write more articles for now.

But these articles are all keyword-researched with Jaaxy, drafted with either Content Creation Platform (CCP) or with ChatGPT and Gemini. They were then heavily edited to make them what I want them to be and do before they leave any impact or legacy on readers.

That has been a marathon.

You also know that I was about to be China by now, Beijing, to be specific, studying a master's degree in Contemporary Chinese Studies. A vague or vast field indeed, with so many topics and even subjects ranging from Chinese history, culture, economy, and more importantly, foreign policy. But this didn't work because of some reason.

One reason is that I need my highest academic paper, a degree in theology, to be certified by South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). All steps were done except the fact that my name on the degree doesn't have my surname. That's frustrating because we don't even have surnames, first names, or last names this end.

I also have an issue with Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing due to identity verification issues, just as I had the same issues with Payoneer. But I'm glad to tell you that even though this is not yet resolved at the time of this writing (18th August 2026, Nairobi time), I have been told this has been escalated to the relevant team of KDP Support. I have been stressed even as I kept working on my craft. Amazon is my main publishing system, and it has been so for the last 14+ years. Losing access to it means losing access to 130+ titles, available in four formats each.

But...

My website as well has been restructured to align it to my brand-new branding: "Writing For Digital Nomads" from personal experiences because this is what I do each day, week, month and year since 2025. I now focus on writing about the things I do: Language Services, Technology Services, and Writing Services. I want readers to learn and do things in these very fields. I am not an expert for now, but I will surely be.

New look, new functions.

Next, I will be making sure these 90 articles get the exposure and a chance to reach the right readers. There are many ways to do this. One way is asking for honest comments from this great community. Another is sharing them with my email list readers. And another way is social media. I'll keep the list short for now.

Let's turn to my life...

Ah, on the personal perspective, I would like to let you know that as an African Christian converted in 1997, I was growing up never taking any alcoholic drinks because they are evil by doctrine. But before my conversion into Christianity, mom used to give me what people call white wine. I was so young but so good at tasting and even predicting how the thing will end up as the fermentation matures the next day or days. My predictions were almost always 100% correct.

In 2001, I drunk the same stuff and got very drunk. It was because I was very hungry and planning to carry some grain by the head, walking for several miles to the river side where the rest of my family was. Hardship taught me resilience. I wish I could show you a map here to see the distances.

Since then, I had never tasted wine. But in 2025, I decided to try Tusker (in Juba), a Kenyan brew, about 3 cans for the whole year. In 2026 when back in Juba, I tried several brands, including the Russian Vodka. Some were very bitter and didn't help me. I then settled for South Strong, because it was made by South Sudanese for South Sudanese. It is what it is. All I need is 1 can a day or a week.

But when in Kenya, I have Guinness. I don't really like taking more than 1 can a day, and 1 can of this beer doesn't make sense. Then I tried a liquor form of Vodka, and it worked. I'm surprised how healthier/refreshed I felt for the first time after taking a cup and resting in my bedroom for about 2-3 hours after, sleeping. It seems its bitterness has medical benefits. I don't know, really. I don't need more than 1 cup, but just a little (1 cup to me) is enough, each day or week. I also want to try red wine, but currently, it's costly per bottle. About $10. I can use it for a month!

All in all, I am writing these updates to let you know what I am up to this end, both in life and work. This is to hopefully encourage you to keep learning, acting, seeing results, and sharing that with others. I believe this is the spirit of this community.

Over to you...

What are you working on right now?

To our shared success!
