How I Built My Income Generating System -IGS- with 4 Pillars
Hey friends,
Let me share something that has truly helped me stay focused and balanced in my work — my Income Generating System (IGS). It’s a simple but powerful structure that brings all my different skills and projects into one organized system. I call it my logic of work.
Read the previous post about this topic here => My 4 Proven Income-Generating Systems in 2025
Spoiler alert: that system has been refined after that article, but the concept is still the same.
For a long time, I did many things — writing, translating, building websites, managing tech systems, and publishing books. Each of these had its own impact, but without structure, it all felt scattered. That’s when I built my IGS — one system with four pillars working together in harmony:
- Language Services (LS)
This is where I use my language abilities to serve others. I translate, interpret, edit, and proofread in Dinka, Nuer, and English — and sometimes even interpret between English and Arabic. I also handle transcription work for all three languages. This pillar connects cultures, preserves meaning, and builds understanding. - Technology Services (TS)
Here I work with tech — building and maintaining systems that support both people and organizations. I create websites, install Windows operating systems, set up essential apps, install antivirus programs, monitor WiFi usage, manage user accounts, create and manage official webmail addresses, restore lost or erased data, and speed up slow computers. This pillar keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. - Wealthy Affiliate (WA)
This is my learning and teaching space — a platform where I grow as an entrepreneur, build online presence, and help others find their voice and digital pathway. It’s where purpose meets community. - Amazon Books (AB)
This is my publishing world — where I share my books, stories, and lessons from the Sobat River to the digital world. Through Amazon, I connect my life story with readers everywhere, transforming experience into education.

These four pillars form one circle of purpose. Each supports the other, and together, they create a meaningful flow of work, growth, and impact. When I look at my IGS diagram, I see clarity. I know where everything belongs. I know how each action contributes to my mission.
If you’ve been juggling too many things, maybe it’s time to group them like this. You can have one core system that holds all your talents under one vision. It doesn’t just simplify your work — it amplifies your impact.
When your talents have structure, your focus grows stronger.
When your work has logic, your purpose becomes clear.
So, my question to you is simple:
If you were to build your own IGS, what would your four pillars be?

Powerful clarity, John!
Your IGS resonates deeply — it’s more than a system, it’s a philosophy of alignment. I admire how you’ve woven language, tech, publishing, and community into a purposeful flow. Each pillar stands strong, yet they amplify each other beautifully.
In my own journey, I’ve been crafting a similar structure around visual storytelling, affiliate wellness campaigns, onboarding resources, and digital branding. Your post reminds me that when we name and organize our gifts, we unlock new levels of impact.
Thank you for sharing this — it’s a masterclass in intentional work. I’ll reflect on my four pillars and share soon!

Thank you, my friend, Lanicheduclip. Your reflection truly adds depth to the idea, especially when you’ve connected your own creative pillars to purpose and balance.
When our gifts align, our work becomes a force for good.
As the proverb says, “Wisdom is like a baobab tree; no one person can embrace it.”
That’s really great John…

Yes John I’ll make a focus on it……
Thank you for the structural teaching.
Thank you, Rarapi. I like your four pillars — they sound strong and clear.
Focus and structure will take you far on this journey.
Keep building step by step, and the results will follow.
As the proverb says, “A tree with deep roots laughs at the storm.”
Thank you, Karen. I like how you put that.
Building strong pillars starts with honest self-reflection.
When we know ourselves, our work stands firm.
You're welcome. Yes, it's working. I'm earning something small from all the 4 pillars now. I call them, 4 cardinal points of my IGS.

Hi John, this is one of your best posts yet.
I'm starting new with everything right now. I have an interview tomorrow morning for a possible brand ambassadorship deal in the industry that I'm in then I'll go from there.
Cheers to you and I'm looking forward to seeing you thrive.
