Getting in the Right Mindset

Successful people are successful in their lives because they act and think in a certain way whether it be on accident or on purpose. If you are not successful in your life, if you hate the job you have, if you do not have enough money to live the life you want, or if you look around and you are just unhappy, it's because you are not thinking and acting in a certain way. Please listen to me on this.

Your mind and your thoughts are what controls your actions. Negative thoughts lead to negative actions or inaction and that creates a negative reality for the person. Think about anything you accomplished in your life and I can guarantee I know how you did it.

Here Is How You Accomplished Every Goal You Made:

  • The first thing you did was have a thought of what you wanted to accomplish, you saw in your head, the end result (You set a Goal).
  • The next thing you did was accept that it can become a reality if you made it so. (You became grateful)
  • You then started taking the actions necessary, that started to turn your original thought into the reality you envisioned. (you took action)
  • The actions you performed and never stopped performing, allowed your thought to become a true reality in physical form (You accomplished your goal)

It doesn't matter what your goal is. It could be getting a high school diploma, learning how to ride a bike, renovating a kitchen, or even making $1,000,000. Whenever the goal is, they are all reached by acting and thinking in a certain way.

First, understand that your thoughts are actual physical matter. It might be on a molecular level but it is an actual, physical thing. Electrical pulses, chemicals and atoms are being rearranged in your body for every thought you have and I can prove it.

Have you ever had a thought that made you feel sick in your stomach? How about a thought that got you excited? Or what about a thought that made you angry? These thoughts create physical feelings because the thought itself is physical matter.

So if thoughts are physical matter, then the thought of your goal is the very first physical building block to your goal. Now, because the thought of your goal is the very first building block, it is extremely important that you hold onto that goal and never let it out of your sight. The very second you lose sight of that very first building block, everything you built on top of it will come crashing down and it will hurt.

Second, you need to be grateful to the universe that your goal can be reached. You need to be grateful for everything you have currently, but you also need to be grateful for what you are going to have in the future. This can be extremely hard for some people but it's very important.

Now here comes the really hard part and it's a part that I had the most trouble with myself. You must be grateful for the problems or situations you encounter that at first glance may look horrible. I know, I know, it doesn't make much sense. To be honest with you, I do not really know why this works but it does. An example of this would be a person who says "Getting fired from my job was the best thing that happened to me in a long time, evens though I did not know it at that time". So you must be grateful to the universe as much as you possibly can and it will create things in your favor.

The last part about getting in right mindset has to do with action. Action is what creates the connection among you, the universe and your goal. Every action you take that Pushes You Toward Your Goal will tip the scale in your favor significantly more than you think. Every action you take that pushes you away from your goal can drastically tip the scale the other way.

So when you are working on reaching your goal, think about every action you are taking and ask yourself if it's pushing you toward your goal or pushing you away.

So to recap, to get in the right mindset you must;

1. Understand that the thought of your goal is the very first physical building block to reaching that goal and you must never let it out of your sight. Go back to that thought (Goal) in your head every chance you get. Every time you go back to that thought you will see it in greater detail and it will reinforce your gratefulness and encourage you to take more action. If you have any negative thoughts or doubt about reaching your goal, get rid of them immediately.

2. Be Grateful. Be grateful that you can reach your goal. Be grateful that you have everything you need to complete your goal. If you do not have every you need right now, be grateful that you will in the future. Be grateful to the universe for turning things in your favor because you are acting and thinking in a certain way that allows the universe to work for you. If you have ever heard a successful person speaks about their success, I can guarantee they mentioned being grateful about something.

3. Take action. Every action you take is either a good one or bad one and remember that your thoughts control a lot of your actions. Perform as many positive actions as you can, everyday, that pushes you toward your goal. Avoid taking any actions that push you away from your goal.

I also want you to remember that yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here yet. So forget about yesterday and do not worry about tomorrow. You can only do what you can for the moment. Do what you can for today and that is it. Do not think about everything you have to do to reach your goal, just think about what you have to do now and then do it. One step at a time. If you take at least one successful step toward your goal in the moment you are in now, you will unquestionably reach that goal. And always remember that you are always in the "NOW"

I hope this helps you. What opened my eyes was "The Science of Getting Rich" Once I read that, oh man. If you want a free ebook copy I have one, just PM me.

To your success,
John

Totally in agreement with your blog, John. Every cloud has a silver lining. I am grateful for every single bad situation that has happened to me. Every failure is a lesson. Every day we wake up is a blessing.

Good post John, I'm reading that book right now and will be working on thinking and visualizing success.

love the way you have connected the dots John, in your own way-gave me lots of insights and fresh perspectives . Have had it sitting on computer, so I can read in keep understanding-cheers

Thanks Graig! It is a heck of a book. One thing was, I got mad after reading it because I realized all my failures were my fault. Took a couple days to forgive myself. :)

Then I was so positive it was making people think I was on drugs. But I also noticed how negative everybody was around me. I had to stop people before they would talk to me and ask if they had anything good to say...most of it was not. I would say "Focus on the good stuff in your life. " But not many did.

That's probably why I liked building a network online because most people were just like me, Positive! And when people get upset or complain, they are killed with kindness and support.

Hi John, Excellent and well worth the read. I think we all fall short of our own expectations from time to time. I think words of encouragement as well as aligning yourself with those individuals who will lift you up rather than bring you down will help the process. You are a great inspiration. Keep up the attitude. "What we hold in mind, we manifest in kind". That's my mantra! Cheers to your success. T

Thank you very much! It is very true what you said about being with those that lift you up. Because we all lean on each other whether we like to admit it or not. Thanks for posting!
