google search console and posts
Hello all! Quick question. I noticed that I still have a few posts that have not been crawled/indexed by google.
If I go to google search console and then sitemap, I will see my site addres with a slash at the end. Can I put the remainder of my post after that slash and add it to my site map or is just having the main address of my site indexed good enough?
For example, if i have a post about cat furniture and it is not indexed, can i go to site map and after the slash enter cat-furniture??
Thanks!

Hi, John,
I don't know about that, but as Teguh pointed out, you can request manual indexation for those non-indexed articles. It happened to me once that a few articles were never indexed, but when I requested manual indexation, they were indexed in a couple of hours. You might want to give it a try.
How do I do that? I copied and pasted one article that has not been indexed and the message came up and said this is not a part of your URL property.
So, if you're saying to copy the article that has not been indexed, go to google search console and paste it and then hit enter, that doesn't work for me.
I keep getting the message that says not in your URL property.
That's why I was asking if I could copy the address of an article not indexed, go to site map in my google search console, and then add then ending of that post after the forward slash that comes after my website address and hit enter
Hm, that's strange. Do you have more than one site? The only thing I can think of is you're submitting a URL under the incorrect property (site).
I will. I'm pretty much just going to keep adding posts and see what happens after a certain period of time.
If you want your post indexed by Google, there are any two methods that you can try, automatically and manually. Automatically index needs a long time, usually, this method it's through Google sitemap that you have created. But if you want to indexed faster, you can do manually using your Google console account as following methods below :
- go to the URL inspection section
- put your URL that you want to index
- and then hit enter
- wait awhile of second
- and then hit request indexing
- and after that, hit the test for live
- if you succeed in manually indexed you will see the green message " your site has available on google".
To make sure your URL its has been indexed or not, you can type this method on google search column :
site:yoururl.com
Hope this can help you, how to indexed faster. Usually, these methods can index your site for less than an hour.
