Hello John

Great to hear you website is up, here are a few tips to help with uploading pics/images.

1) Reduce the megabyte size of your images before uploading them, I use VSO Image Resizer, a free download.

2) Rename the stubborn image Lol,

Sometimes the image has a long filename that is not compatible with Wordpress Media Library, there is a Wordpress Plugin, Media File Renamer, that you can install as well to help with this,

Other than that just rename it on your desktop before uploading to media library.

This has worked for me on numerous occasions, in fact it is the norm whenever I upload images for my Posts.
