Time, The Never Ending Battle.
What is this thing called time? We all experience it but we are currently powerless to do anything about it. Many of us don't even have enough of it.
We all have a total of 24 hours each day, but what can we do about it or with it? Some of us try to get too many things done in that amount of time but find that it is still not enough. There are things we do to try to give ourselves more time like not taking time to eat. (Guilty) Not a good idea.
Many of us steal time from our sleep schedule. (Also Guilty) Also not a good idea. With both of these things our health can and does suffer.
Having been a construction contractor I understand the mentality but I also had to force myself to learn that if you keep working without a break, in most, if not all cases your work, and the amount of it suffers.
The average person needs 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. In most cases I get 5. Really not good. I know my work suffers and I am fatigued all day. The problem is compounded if I don't take time to eat regularly.
If I get in bed late, I get up late the next morning and just grab a mouth full of something on my way out the door, if I have anything at all.
At least I have a decent lunch because I put together a good lunch taking time out of my sleep schedule.
Unlike many, I have the ability to sleep standing up, (quite literally) which is sometimes a bad thing. I get into the time machine (the shower) every morning, and if I am not careful I will fall asleep leaning against the wall. Then I find I must hurry to get out the door to get to work on time.
If I get to work in enough time I can get a ten minute nap at my desk, but I have to be careful that I don't oversleep by setting an alarm on my cell phone.
The best thing to do is get the sleep you are supposed to and eat the the, at least, three square meals a day. I know, I know, easier said than done but until we figure out how to get 26 or 30 hours in a day we can only do with what we have. I am working on it. But working a full time job then coming home and doing all the housework and cooking dinner it can be difficult.
Maybe I can just take one more hour and work on a way to get those extra hours in a day.
What do you think?

I'm with you there - I think we could all do with some extra hours. I'm also guilty of not eating properly when I'm busy and I know it's no good for me, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! :)
