WA Ranking - Does it matter?
I ask because the general consensus among the community is that it does not, other than some bragging rights and possible "Ambassadorship" - which sounds really pretty and I'd love the little tag next to my name just because it will make me feel important.
But - I got an email today saying someone "liked" a comment - and I've never actually read through the email other than to go see who liked my comment. Now that I've actually read it, it says "When people like your comments it improves your ranking within Wealthy Affiliate which is going to lead to some really awesome perks going forward."
So, does ranking matter, or doesn't it? Are there perks for a better ranking? Do you care about your ranking? Would you care about your ranking if there were perks? Would you try harder to involve yourself more in the community?
I think a lot of us are wondering if we should care about our ranking, if we should strive to have a better ranking.
What say ye, WA'ers?

I have read the same, Joey. But, have no clue what the "perks" are.... but, don't really care either.
I'm proud to be a part of WA. And, I fully believe in KARMA. So, my personal belief is this. We get what we give. I try to help others and have set PERSONAL goals for myself. This is my personal decision to help others and help WA maintain the quality of "Community" that it has been known for.
So, I do check my rank. It DOES matter to me, personally. I don't expect anyone else to have these same views, but I have met many that do and I feel blessed.
Just my personal opinion.
Cheers mate,

It's always nice to help other people and support them where possible but the most important thing is your site and your business. So no you shouldn't worry about the ranking. The top ranked people are awesome, but then so are many others!
Let me clarify - I don't necessarily care about my ranking either, other than saying "oh cool!" under my breath when it goes up. I do my best to help out as I can. But if there are perks, as it says, I am curious to know (as I imagine a lot of others are) to know what they entail.
