I saw the cutest thing today ...
On The Promenade, here in Seaside (North Coast of Oregon), I came upon a young couple, with 3 young children .. they had obviously been on the beach, and "Daddy" was helping the kids get the sand out of their shoes ...
One by One he handed each shoe to "Mommy", who very carefully poured the sand out of each little shoe into a sock ?
Apparently they had never seen the ocean nor the beach, and were “Saving A Memory” 🙂
... How Sweet Is that?

My Wife and I met in PortAngeles, WA in ‘84 .. lived “off grid” for years in NE Washington State, and finally ended up here in Seaside ‘bout 20 years ago.

That is what We did ..
At one point, we decided we wanted to live by The Ocean.
Every weekend for a year, we drove to the coast .. searching from up in Southern Washington State, down to Northern California, visiting beachside communities getting a feel for the communities and the people .....
We always seemed to gravitate towards “Seaside, Oregon”
Long story short, we packed up and moved to Seaside, and have been here ever since (~20 years now)
..... One Word: “Just-Do-It” ... (ok, maybe that’s 3 words?)

We are water people too, mostly Long Island, New York but decided we had enough snow for the rest of our lives so went deep south, south of the Mason Dixie line.
For good.
