Hello everyone, just wanted to discuss a common road block we all hit : Failure
The trouble is, even with WA helping us out, an affiliate marketing website isn't handed to you. For example, It might say "Make an engaging post" but YOU have to think creatively and decide what that means for your niche. Sometimes it doesn't work out like you want it to.
You fail.
But that is all part of the process. I have not made a single commission yet, I have about 18 posts, about 12 of them have some sort of tasteful affiliate link or recommendation, I only have 3 reviews, and I consider my niche diverse in that there are many avenues I can recommend products.
For reference, I go to school full time (senior) and work 20 hours a week, so I'm dishing it out slower.
My traffic is anywhere between 2-8 people a day, average time of staying is <1:00, and my site trust is at 20%.
I know my brand has potential, I am confident that with more time, more trust, more content, more planning and more exposure it will grow and get me that $8000/month goal that I set for my self when I first joined here. I am 20 years old, and am happy that I am starting this now.
That's why I will NEVER stop.
Even if I have a 1% chance at hitting my goal one day, that's more than the 0% that I will get by quitting.

you need anywhere from 50 to 100 visitors a day generally to make a sale when you first get started or have a way to capture their email address and build up a relationship with your visitors through a newsletter to increase your chance of a sale
I would love to set up an email function, do you know of any posts or training explaining the ins and outs of that?
it's your preference but there are some free autoresponders you can use those other members have mentioned like mail chimp. on your website, you have to have a way for members to leave their name and email addresses---if you have sumo on your website you can set that up to capture names and addresses and there's also Hello Bar that you can sign up with and then download their plugin to capture email addresses

I like your attitude and ambition. Keep moving forward
