Two Weeks In
Hello All,
I am two weeks in, and wanted to share my experience so far in WA. I love the community atmosphere.
I was making great strides towards my goal, when last night I destroyed my website. Some of y'all might have seen and commented on my first review page. Well there were some bugs in it, like the link to the post on my home page didn't work, and the comments didn't work. So I tried to fix it. Ha. :( I read someone saying they had the same problem, and that they just copied the content to a word document, then deleted the post and created a new one).
Well, I did that and when I posted my content back into the new post box, all the formatting was gone. So I was bummed. Then I thought, oh wait, I have a backup. So I researched how to restore a backup copy, thinking I would find another way to fix the problem. So I added the plugin "Adminer" to my site, and imported the backup that was on my computer.
Phew!
But to my dismay, the backup was 7 days old, back to when I added the "under construction" images. Not only was it not the correct backup, but I thought I had lost a 1220 word "Getting Started" page. I wanted to cry.
So looking at the backup that did import, I noticed my original menu item "A Better Way to Wealth", when I clicked on it, there was the entire post. I had created the Getting Started menu item to replace the other one. Wow, what a rush.
So here I am, not quite at the beginning, but definitely put a damper on my momentum. Other than that, I am thankful for all of you here at WA for your advice and support. I am here to stay this time.
I joined in August of 2013 and never gave it a shot. I was training with Chris Farrell Membership at the time. There was good training but nowhere near what I have found here now that I am going forward with WA. I will post my reconstructed site for comments once I clean it up. Thanks for letting me ramble.

Man i feel ya. I was writeing my review last night hit the wrong button (power button) and lost everything. Do you think i have it on backup, I'm not that computer savy, so what don you think?
Someone said that WA keeps a daily backup of all the sites. Maybe contact Kyle and see if he can help you. Good Luck.
Hi Joe. Do you know that they do regular backups here at WA and if you raise a support ticket, the support team will restore your data? olive
I am glad you did not lose your content.Perhaps as a suggestion write your blogs out in a notepad and this way if you lose it on the computer, you will always have it down in writing.
Relax Hun! I have rewritten so much content that I could have started 3 websites, lol!! I think it must be common for we newbies! Glad you were able to get it back. I send you prayers for a good recovery.
Just make it a habbit to back up your site every evening. That protects you from a lot of stress:) Loes
I never used a plugin for back-ups, and besides, WA keeps a back-up too for premium, but I think it's my own responsibility to back - up my property.
