It's the little things
I'm just getting started here at WA, and of all the great things I've already seen, one that stands out the most is the awesome training that is coupled with actionable steps.
That is so crucial for someone like me who sometimes needs everything broken down, so that I don't stand in my own way and kill myself with indecision and inaction.
Action is what separates the successful from the average.
That has become more and more clear to me over the past several months as I've searched for ways I can succeed as an entrepreneur and move toward the future I desire.
I'm currently doing a 30-day challenge where there's a different little thing to do each day, and at the end of the 30 days, maybe you've picked up a couple little habits that will change your life for the better.
I invited my brother-in-law, who often expresses very similar desires as I do, to participate in the challenge along with me. He did it for one day, then he suddenly stopped. I encouraged him to keep going as it had already helped me.
He said he didn't have time.
You have to understand, the daily video and task take maybe 2-3 minutes to complete. So over the course of 30 days, it's not even a movie's worth of time.
But he doesn't have time.
Needless to say, I was disappointed and frustrated. I know there are so many people out there who can benefit from small changes that really don't require much time or effort...just consistency.
I'm not perfect - I have a lot of systems and routines I've set up, and I screw them up pretty much every day. But I keep going, because I know that the small investment I'm making right now will pay off immensely in the long run.
I still struggle with taking action, even having experienced the payoff. It's hard to combat the impulse to go with the flow, to take it easy, to take the path of least resistance. All of that is so alluring.
But it all leads to average. And that's not what we're after.
The road to success requires the right mindset, the right focus, and the right action.
I'm glad to be here on that road with you. :)
