Why I got business cards (and why you should too!)

Hey y'all, quick blog today.

So the other day I was emailed an offer for 100 free business cards, and I just had to pay shipping & handling.

I decided that I wanted business cards to promote my site easily in person

I bit! I designed the cards for my website, no physical address or anything (and not knowing what to put my job title as -- I just left it blank), and ordered 100 for just $5 shipping. I got mine at Vistaprint, but I'm not trying to promote them or anything, get them wherever you want because that's not the important part.

When they came I already felt more professional

Looking at my business cards for my website made it feel like a real business. Now when I tell people about my website, I can just give them the card. That way, I don't have to convince them that it's a serious business, and I don't have to just hope they remember the URL (spoiler alert: they won't.) They then throw the card in their wallet or purse or whatever, and they see it again eventually, very cheaply reminding them that my website exists. They can also pass on the card if they want!

So if you want to feel more legitimate, and want people to take you more seriously when you try to tell them about your website, I highly recommend you get business cards.
