The power of keeping our Focus

They say patience is a virtue; I think keeping our focus is another. Many of us are consistently working on our goal so we can achieve our dreams; but sometimes found ourselves losing focus. We want to get to our destination so quickly that we repeatedly changed our course thinking we may get there faster by trying new ideas. Often times; we even started to think that we may never get there, and started doubting our capability to succeed and achieve our dreams.

What seems to be the real problem here?

While I was listening to some podcast, (Entrepreneur in Fire, by John Lee Dumas) then I realized what was my real problem. I had lost my FOCUS, which he made an acronym with:

Follow One Course Until Success

John said; the road of entrepreneurship could get someone so excited; where, they simply can't stay FOCUS long enough to make things happens.

Here is what I was doing wrong

When I started here at the Wealthy Affiliate, I got so excited, so pumped up about finally building websites, which I used to pay so much money to have some web designer create for me years ago. In just one month in training I created 6 sites in 6 different Niches. Every time I went to sleep, I could not wait to wake up in the morning to work in my projects; because of my overly excitements. I had lost FOCUS; I could not perfection any of my 6 sites because it was too much work for one crazy Newbie. Every one of my sites Health was POOR. I had gone 10 miles wide and not so far deep.

The fixer

So, I continued listening to the podcast and every one of the entrepreneur John interviewed kept recommending that same consistency, to FOCUS on just one project until the reward starts to come in.

I went back to work on that one website ( karamel509.com )where my heart was, and I was able to nurse it to Excellent Health. I have been getting awesome feedback from my readers.

I hope someone would learn at least one lesson from this post. Don't be like I was, It took me a long time to learn to FOCUS, and to be consistent.

The lesson I personally learned: Go One inch wide and 100 miles deep. If you know at least of one person whom may benefit by reading this post today, please share it. I also would like your feedback, so please comment.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Joakin.
