Google Profiles vs. Branded Google Profiles
I have a personal Google+ account and profile and decided on my own that for my niche websites, it made more sense to create branded Google+ accounts. You can have several branded accounts under one primary account. It's similar to how you can create pages under your FB profile or how you can create Company Pages under your LinkedIn profile. The company pages or FB pages are separate from your primary account, and yet accessible FROM your primary account for maintenance, etc.
Has anyone else made use of the Branded Google+ pages? Do you know if there are pros and cons to doing it either way? Or is it actually better to simply stick with the Google+ account as a person, vs. a brand and create your collections/communities from there?
I have several niche sites and I am undecided as to the best method.
I'd love to hear what others think on this topic.
Thanks!

Hi, there are some reasonably-founded opinions about Google showing preferential treatment for branded entities:
https://www.business.com/articles/why-google-loves-brands-and-how-businesses-can-take-advantage/
...but as the author of this article rightly points out, there's not much benefit in registering yourself as a brand, if you don't support the claim to brand with strong, consistent branding activities, and a persistent, well-designed logo on a professional-looking site.
So far as brands go, I'm also a little infatuated with the idea of 'lovemarks': https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovemark
But this might not be everyone's cup of tea. I'm not sure what sort of niches you manage, or what sort of relationship you want to foster with your audience, so that's as far as my advice goes!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for the links. The Lovemarks concept is interesting and it makes a lot of sense. More to think about, but I appreciate the perspective.
Thanks!
