Focus is a Challenge
I'm finding it difficult to stay focused in just one area and on just one site. Is focus a challenge for you too?
Prior to joining WA, I had my own company and my own website that I had built. I've been doing SEO and Digital Marketing as a Freelancer and as an Employee for nearly 20 years, yet I'm still learning new things through WA. It's encouraging and motivating to keep working.
However, I also created a new niche site while going through the WA Certification process. I've been making good progress, but then I also switch and try to keep up with the same things on my existing site. It kind of makes it feel like I'm not making as much progress because I'm doing it in two different areas. That's a lot of new content to write!
THEN, I also went and purchased a domain for use with the Affiliate Bootcamp process because I'd honestly like to promote WA to others. I have been very impressed with the content, the community, and the tools available through WA. I think it's worth the investment. I also love anything that gives people hope for a better future. It's POSSIBLE with WA. I truly believe that.
I haven't started the Affiliate Bootcamp site yet, but it's really nagging at me to get started.
On top of all of those things, I also still freelance and I find it hard to walk away from WA to get billable hours in. LOL! I JUST CAN'T STOP! The addiction is crazy. ;) I also have an alternative health business where clients make appointments to see me.
Oh, and I'm a wife with two children under the age of 5 and a 13 year old daughter. All of them, of course, have extracurriculars to keep up with. My husband travels a lot, so that leaves me with my hands full.
Gahhh!!!! I feel like there isn't enough of me to go around. How DO you stay focused and still feel like you can get anything done? My evenings are "my time" and I spend what I can of them working on WA. My mornings are mine, but already booked for my workouts before shuffling the kids off to where they need to be.
I'm sure I'm not alone in the crazy demands of life, but I'd love to hear how others cope, or even just to hear how others are stretched as thin as I am and still making progress. Hearing your stories, gives me incentive to just keep plugging along, one day at a time.
Go Team WA! :-D

Yes, a focus can be an issue. Priorities are what keeps me focused;
There are things that must be done, NOW and other things that can be done next and then next.
It all has to do with listing everything and doing it one at a time...
It IS hard to take this information when you are addicted to running around in a circle, but, it is your schedule, not mine!
Circles can be fun.... ;) But lists are better. I "know" and have used all the things you guys are sharing, but I truly appreciate the reminders and ideas for staying on task nonetheless.
I actually managed to get a lot of really good focus time in on BILLABLE projects today after I set some priorities and goals on the things that needed to get done. One day at a time. I run in circles some days and other days I'm a working machine, checking things off my list left and right!
Each day is a new day. Thanks for sharing!!
I know about circles: My wife and I have four kids and now, six Grandkids with another one due in October... So every Sunday I have a lot of fun circles!
I, too, have billable work I do each day. I write a lot of articles for other people (marketers) and doing research.. focussing on them, writing them....
I think staying focused is a problem for most people!! Let's be honest: we'd all rather be at the beach or curled up on our couch watching a good movie--especially if we were paid to do that, but we're not. So it's a constant struggle for me to stay focused with all of the social media and other stuff going on around me. You're not alone. I think the best thing you can do is PLAN to give a certain amount of time to your new business and stick to that plan as best as possible. Turn off your phone, turn off the tv, and whatever else distracts you and just give yourself a little time to meet an attainable goal that you've set for yourself every day. When you start to see progress and results, I think it will motivate you and make it easier for your to focus :) And when I say "you", I also mean "me"!
Yes. Making a plan and doing my best to stick with it. Good idea. I have a bullet journal after all. www.bulletjournaljunkie.org is my niche site! LOL. Time to make some better plans using my scheduling methods and stick to them.
Thanks for sharing!

Focus is difficult for many of us!
Indeed! Today was a better day for me though. I managed to find my focus thanks to smaller goals and prioritizing my list.
When I get overwhelmed it's sometimes just hard for me to even think of the basics. Reminders are good. This post helped.
Thanks for chiming in!
