Are You Looking for Stock Photos?

Finding good photos is easy if you have a huge budget. But that's not the case for everyone, myself included.

Many of the sites I've reviewed seem to have a lack of photos. I know that part is hard, so I wanted to share a few go-to sites that I just shared this with another WA member.

Not to worry, there are no affiliate links here. LOL! I just thought others may find this information useful.

Here are my favorites:

  • https://www.pexels.com/ - A great site with FREE photos, all the time and their photos are all Creative Commons Zero license. That means they can be used for personal OR commercial use without attribution. So they really are FREE photos.
  • https://www.megapixl.com - Sign up for a 30-day trial and download images for a month without paying anything! They have a great collection of photos.
  • https://www.dreamstime.com - No freebies, but offers slightly cheaper subscriptions or 1-month plans than Megapixl. Also has a lot of great photos.
  • http://all-free-download.com - This site has more than just photos. The various categories are listed faintly along the very top. "Free Photos" is the second option along the top. Not the best collection and contains a lot of ads for paid photos, but they're free. Just be careful where you click. ;)

Good luck! I hope this helps some of the budget-minded fellow WA Members find some photos for their site(s).

PS: Also check out the WA blog post that contains additional links if you haven't already:

There are many free Photos, images websites for you, e.g Ourclipart, clipart-library

It's worth bearing in mind that there are no guarantees that the images you get from any free site, even those labelled CC0, are copyright free, as no free image site checks that the individual uploading the images is actually the copyright holder in the first place.

If you want to be sure that the images you are using are copyright free, I recommend you use a stock library that offers indemnity. For example, Stock Unlimited http://www.stockunlimited.com offers unlimited downloads for a month for $9, which should be long enough to stock up on a year-or-two's worth of photos! They also offer a $25,000 per image indemnity against any copyright infringement claims.

Awesome resource. Thanks for sharing.

And you are 100% correct. It is always a risk. But thanks for sharing another resource. I'll definitely be looking into it. I'm always on the hunt for good photo resources at reasonable prices.

Good call. Much appreciated.

You're most welcome! :)

Thanks for the information!

Yes, this is great information! Thank you! I seem to have a hard time finding free photo's.
