Down the rabbit hole I go
I took the plunge and went premium for at least a month, because I'm not really out anything if it doesn't pan out.
After struggling to choose between one of three niche ideas I've decided to try out swords/knives at first, and if it doesn't work out I can always change it later. I can now at least say I've gotten past lesson three :P
My plan, at least in my head, is for blogging/showcasing different swords and knives and whatnot on my website, at least until I know more about the training and what exactly I'll be trained to do. I've been collecting swords and knives for quite some time now, and that is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. The process of making a sword, especially a handmade katana (look it up, I promise you won't regret it, ye few who may be reading this) is a beautiful and fascinating thing to watch. A true work of art. at least in my opinion.

Swords, knives, axes, daggers, even going on to shields and armor, all of it is wonderfully fascinating. I'm thinking even some content about LARPing weaponry and armor, for regular LARP and for game-specific LARPing (because I'm a nerd like that...)
My biggest problem, I think, is making sure I follow through with all of this. All of my life pretty much I have started things and not finished them. Really I think it's common for my generation in particular, and I have some other thoughts on that too, but I'll keep my comments to myself there. I HAVE to see this through. Even if it doesn't work out I have GOT to see this through. I need to finish the training at least. Consistency and self-discipline are two of the major things I lack, and it's discouraging to know this and yet never seem to be able to change it. So, here I go.

Congratulations for taking the plunge. From what I read here, you know and understand yourself quite well, which frankly many people don't.
Often it is said to start as you intend to continue and therefore if you made a firm decision to see this through, you will indeed see it blossom despite the twists and turns of life. However, if you dip your feet in water tentatively, if you don't like the temperature you bolt. The training is amazing; lots of work and commitment and from the way you described the sword making, your audience will have great treats in store for them.
