The Power of Community

I am less than a week in with WA, and even though that may not seem like much to anyone else.. it's huge for me! Some may consider me somewhat of a commitment phobe... Historically, I have given up on anything techy at literally the first signs of confusion. Even logging in when I can't remember my password can turn me off on a good day. Why sit and try and figure things out when there are so many other things I could be doing that I already know how to do... like scrolling through facebook or checking emails?

Problem solving was never my cup of tea. I've never understood people who could sit for hours trying to figure out one little thing. Why?? Listen, if I can't figure out something in the first five minutes, it just wasn't meant to be. I'd start out with the best of intentions to finish a project, but then that inner, dependable voice would pipe up: "Yeah..... you can't figure this out, you should probably give up." You just can't argue with that kind of logic. So, here I am. Almost nine years later of owning a domain and a deep yearning to be creative, but yet nothing to show for it. All because of the limiting belief of not being able to figure something out. Nine years! That's a lot of disappointment in myself.

This time though, something is different. I have followed people in WA, and they have followed me...... Do you understand what that means???? It means, I am somewhat committed. Dare I say, accountable to all of you who have welcomed and encouraged me! If I don't follow through... you'll know! What have I done?? There's just one thing to do: (cue gasp) Follow Through!

Just knowing this has made a difference. Not only have I asked questions, but I have also followed along with videos, looked for answers, and most importantly, figured things out on my own. This peer pressure....er, I mean, Community, has already pushed me forward, and you weren't even trying! I can now see myself taking action and succeeding. I am SO excited for what's to come!

That, my friends, is the Power of a Community. Thank you. :)
