It Works! How I Paid My WA Fees, Boosted My Google Rankings & Found a New WA Strategy
Dear Wealthy Affiliate friends,
I want to share something with you that just happened recently—and it might inspire someone who’s feeling stuck or wondering, “Is it worth continuing with WA?” The answer is YES, and I have living proof to back it up.
A 12-Month Commitment That Paid Off Fast
On 2 July 2025, I finally paid off my overdue WA membership fees. But instead of just covering one month like before, I made a bold decision: I paid for a full 12 months of Premium Membership. That wasn’t an easy step—it required sacrifice, strategy, and creativity.
But then something amazing happened.
Within 24 hours, by 3 July 2025, my Google rankings came back. Yes, my content started resurfacing. Impressions and clicks began flowing again. It was as if the WA system—and maybe Google itself—noticed that I’m all in.
My Secret? Selling Extra Website Slots
WA gives us 10 websites under the Premium Plus+ plan. I was only actively using a few of them (mine are 3 slots for Premium-, if that exists). So, I thought, why not sell the extra space to someone who needs a hosted site but doesn't want to pay full WA fees yet?
I found two people and sold my extra website space at a reasonable rate—enough to cover my entire annual membership fee. That strategy worked!
Not only did I remain active in WA, but I also discovered a micro business model inside the platform itself. You don't always have to go outside WA to make it work—you can create value within!
The Real Reward: Learning, Teaching & Earning
Now that my membership is paid, my focus has shifted from surviving to thriving. I'm spending time learning more deeply, engaging in the community, answering questions, and publishing training (when I can).
These actions earn points, and those points slowly translate into revenue inside WA. No, it’s not thousands overnight, but it’s steady—and growing.
More than that, I’m hoping to refer someone soon who sees the value of going Premium Plus. When that happens, it will be another income stream, all rooted in the knowledge and community value WA offers.
A Word to My WA Friends
If you're struggling with fees, traffic, or momentum—please don’t give up. Instead:
- Think outside the box. What resources do you already have in WA that you’re not using? Can you offer help, sell services, or partner with someone?
- Go long-term. Monthly plans are okay, but yearly commitment brings peace of mind and long-term vision.
- Engage the community. Teaching others is not just fulfilling—it earns you credit and visibility.
- Aim for referrals—especially to Premium Plus. One good referral can pay your membership multiple times over.
My New Mission
I’m now committed to not just growing my own sites, but to helping others grow within WA. Whether it’s by sharing what I’ve learned, giving honest feedback, or walking with someone through their first affiliate sales, I want to give back. Because this platform gave me a fresh start—and it’s worth every bit of effort.
If I can make it work, you can too.
Let’s keep building together!
Hey, and happy birthday to my country, South Sudan today 9 July 2025!

This is creativity at a very high level and a mindset that everyone is supposed to share to succeed online, John. Getting an asset to monetize is one appreciable initiative and being able to find potential entrepreneurs who might need such an asset is another.
Wish you more successes in your online endeavors!

Thanks a lot, Israel.
Shalom!
I'll always try my best to inspire me and others in my world.
Have a wonderful time there.

Hey, Nichola,
Thanks again for the kind words. Yes, we are here to share information and knowledge with each other. That's what Kyle and Carson are doing as well, for decades now. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for sharing this, John!
I've actually been thinking of doing something similar. Thankfully, I’m still on the old Premium plan that allows up to 50 websites (25 premium and 25 free), so there’s definitely room to explore this.
Offering to manage websites and write content for a minimal fee is a smart and sustainable approach. Why hadn’t I thought of that before? 😊
As for giving clients full access — I believe it is allowed. We can host sites for others and provide them with full admin control if needed. They don’t have to go through the WA Site Manager; they can log in directly via WordPress.
Appreciate you sparking this idea. Wishing you much success with it!
Alice
Thanks a lot, Alice for this update. I didn't know there was a premium for 50 websites. I joined in August 2015 and couldn't pay my fee after a few months. I guess it used to cost just $19/month. I didn't want to cancel my membership, but nothing I could do.
Now, I'm back since December 2024, and going. I just went yearly for the premium membership now. Let's keep sharing ideas.
John
That’s awesome, John — welcome back! 👏
I joined WA in 2017, and yes, I remember that first month being just $19, too. I upgraded to Premium during the Black Friday promo, and thankfully, I had a full-time job back then that helped me cover the membership costs.
It’s such a blessing that you were able to sell two websites — what a smart way to make your membership pay for itself! 🙌
Let’s definitely keep sharing ideas and encouraging each other along the way.
Sure, thanks for sharing your experience as well.
I love this community where I learn and share knowledge with others.

I never actually thought of building (or selling) WA hosted websites for others. I guess it could turn a nice profit if you're selling those types of services on somewhere like Fiverr :)
However, with some of my remaining slots, I had thought about using those (combined with the appropriate plugin) to create landing pages for PPC. But then it's just having the right budget to be able to run ads and test campaigns.
Sure, do what works for you in your situation. This works for me right now. Thanks for sharing your journey!
