Very good post. Working 8 hours is the norm, but not possible for all. Personally I have a disability that working over about 5 hours a day will trigger in savory things to occur.
This is of course how much has to be done in 5 hours.

Hi,
I like your post and agree with most of it. One thing I don't understand, possible I mis-interpreted it, but how can it affect your partner's job if you take a call from your job? I don't get that one.
Also, I agree with you that the job should only take 8 hours but unfortunately there are more people out there ready to give tons of hours so if you refuse to give more than 8 that could mess up your job. I don't disagree with you on this but this is just an unfortunate truth.

by taking care of business at home, you can be neglecting your personal life and your spouse/partner. they can be unappy and feel lonely, which can lead to depression, etc. This will, in turn, affect them and the things that they do. Maybe I should have been a little more detailed there.
You are correct that MOST jobs require more than 8 hours - which is true. My point, is simply to make time count and be present in the moment.
