I made a mistake

That’s right, I made a mistake.

There, I said it.

And it feels good.

You know why?

Because now I can stop being so afraid of making mistakes and instead get on with my life.

Nobody’s perfect, so why do I think I need to be?

The fear of failure can hold us back from achieving so many amazing things in life.

We often listen to those voices inside our head that say “I can’t do it”, “I don’t know how to do it” and “I’ll never be good enough at it”.

Well I’m tired of fearing mistakes.

And I’m tired of fearing the unknown.

I have one life to live and I’m going to live it with passion and courage.

Did you know Elvis Presley was fired after just one show at the Grand Ole Opry?

That’s right, the General Manager at the time told the young singer, “You ain’t going nowhere, son. You ought to go back to driving a truck.”

I’m pretty sure Elvis didn’t let that minor setback stand in his way of success.

And we shouldn’t let the voices in our head - or the voices from anyone else for that matter - determine our value or direction in life.

Many of us took a huge leap of faith when we came to Wealthy Affiliate – I know I did.

There is so much to read… so much to learn… so much to do.

But each day gets better.

The setbacks get smaller.

The rewards get larger.

The community grows stronger.

And we’re presented with a golden opportunity to learn, grow and share with one another, each and every day.

And that’s priceless in my opinion.

So go ahead and take some chances today.

Take some BIG chances.

And make some mistakes along the way.

It’s okay.

The important thing is you’re taking action.

And that’s the best feeling in the world.

Thank you very much for those words, we need to remember all that sometimes.

Hi Alexisnilo, thanks for your comment and yes, mistakes happen, and it's part of life! I wish you much success.

I guess I have to say it - making mistakes - don't we all? You are right though it is how we react to making the mistake which is so critical,

I recently read an interesting line: If we learn from our mistakes, then why are we so afraid to make them?

I thought there was quite a bit of truth in there and here's my take on it: I think that society has trained us to think that mistakes are a bad thing. But in fact, they are not. People who are today old and wise were once young and reckless, right? That is the way of the world.

You are 100% correct! (Not that you need my validation or anything...) We need to learn and try and grow and yes, make mistakes and learn from them and keep experimenting.

Risk = potential pain. No pain, no gain.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Nice post... I can certainly relate. My mistake was trying the Travel Niche. Now I am switching to a MUCH less competitive one. You live and you learn.

Thanks Success. I'm looking forward to learning more about your new and improved niche!

Hey thanks for this.

I know exactly how you feel man.

Those repetitive, self-destructive thoughts get old after awhile.

Time for a change.

Thanks Richie, I appreciate the comment. Take action today, I wish you much success!
