Leaving the Rat Race

A little about me: I am a union rep. I represent over 2000 Flight Attendants at a regional airline that provides lift service to all the major airlines. I have been a Flight Attendant for 15 years and a union rep for the majority of that time. I gave up the friendly skies to help my co workers make the airline a better place to work. I now represent my co workers full time as their union representative. I used to love my job, now I dread getting up in the morning. I have come to realize that my efforts to help people can be totally clouded by social media, politics, egos and just downright craziness, Between this job and my husband's recent stroke, I know that I can't keep doing what I'm doing. The stress from this job is going to kill me and I need to stay happy and healthy in order to care for my husband of 35 years. I used to be a workaholic and I have always loved working, but I believe when you absolutely hate your job, it's time to move on. My goal is to be financially independent and leave this rat race for good. I joined the Wealthy Affiliate because I know there is so much potential with the internet, I just need help and guidance.
