After writing my last blog about reaching 100 articles, I started thinking about how I will do things in 2019, I thought now might be a good time to plan some new content.

As I started scribbling out some ideas, this took on a life of its own. I will spare you a lot of the details, but wanted to share the general ideas. Hopefully they may help you.

I hand drew a flowchart that started looking like a root system of a tree. So, I thought a simple spreadsheet might be the way to go.

The tile "How To Choose A __________", can be filled in with what you want. This will be a general article related to my site. Something that will get your reader interested. You can link any of your other articles back to it.

For example: How To Choose A Pefect Vacation Spot.

Then each of the 20 articles will be related to the main idea. In this example, pick 20 great places to spend a vacation like The Caribbean, London, Brazil, etc.... They can be countries, cities, or specific places.

Let's fill in the first two columns and see what it might look like:

In This case, the product reviews might be vacation packages that you would link to using your affiliate links.

Not sure if this is a good example, but I wanted to choose something that my sites are not related to since I don't want to give all my site's ideas away just yet.

I will use this format to help plan out some content for both of my sites. You can customize it to whatever size you want. Use it for one article or 100, it's up to you.

Hopefully you get the idea. The most important thing here is to start panning for 2019 now and don't let things just happen.

Good info jim ! I read somewhere and this sort of is related you post a picture of a thin person on your fridge and write I want to weigh say 180 pounds or I a picture of an athlete and say i want to look like this and your subconscious will take you there, if you say i want to lose 50 pounds it's not the same your mind says oh your fat were going to keep you there !

I don't know how it works I am not a psychologist but that's what I read somewhere years ago.
Whatever works for you try it !

Good idea, Jim. Thanks for sharing.

That's great advice, Jim! If you have planning and a schedule to follow, you are more likely to stay on track than if you didn't have anything.

As the saying goes:-

"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!" Certainly holds true here.
