I had the opportunity to attend a Boost With Facebook event in Cleveland yesterday (11/18/19) and it was amazing.
This was a free event put on by Facebook for small businesses. This is a two-day event designed to teach local businesses how to use Facebook to Boost their business.
The small business team from Facebook gave several presentations during the day. These were broken down into beginner, intermediate and advanced sessions.
Some of the topics included:
- Building an online presence with Facebook and Instagram
- Tools to drive your business
- How to create engaging posts
- How to create ads in Facebook and Instagram
- Using messenger effectively
- Using Facebook and Instagram stories
There were several others, but you get the idea of how valuable this training can be.
If you get a chance, GO!
With a free event, I never know what to expect. I figured I would learn a few things. WOW, was I wrong, I have several pages of notes to go over!
The booklet provides checklists and directions to set up accounts, advertising and much more.
Facebook also provided other resources, many of which were free.
There were folks from advertising and tech support to answer those questions. They were set up in the networking room along with a couple of vendors.
Sure, a lot of the information is available online, but I found learning in this environment with hundreds of other similar minded people is an awesome way to go. The opportunity to network with others in my local area was a huge bonus.
Overall, this is a valuable opportunity, no matter what stage of business you are in.

i have been experimenting with facebook. such a great source for organic traffic.
I have ran a few paid ad's, created a facebook page, man the reach you can get is really good.
if your friends like and share such a great way.
plus u can target ages ranges etc ( which im sure you know already)
not gone into instagram just yet.

It was just one of those ads on Facebook I saw. At first I though it was someone putting it on. After looking into it and finding out it was Facebook putting it on, I had to go. The event was only an hour away!

I went to the one in Columbus in 2018. Awesome information. Glad you liked it. Was Cheryl Sandburg there?
Not sure. I was only able to attend 6 sessions out of the 18. She could have been in another room.
She was in a general one I went to with the Columbus mayor and several business owners. Even got a photo. The programs were super, glad you could go.
