I want to change to a free membership while I’m away from my computer. Do you allow that?
It starts off as a free account but once you go premium don't believe you can go back to free but I will double check.
How long was you planning to be away?
no you cannot go back to being a free member if you leave you have 30 days to move your website to another hosting. If you need help with this then send me a pm and I will help you. If you don't want to host your website anywhere else you can take a backup copy of it and keep it until you return.
You can return at any point but wealthy affiliates will not keep a backup of your site so there is something you need to do yourself

I want to use the WA keyword tool but I can't find the tools button where it's suppose to be at. (grammatical licence)

generally speaking, most of the functions or tools are located either on the left hand side column of your WA screen OR along the top horizontal strip ..... encourage you to check it all out as part of your orientation to this amazing WA platform ...:)

What is the relative importance level of affiliate marketing for someone who plans to "retire" as an on-line marketer.
If your intention is to retire as an on-line marketer, the finding the right products to sell is huge. The other option to making money online is running your own store, and that is a great deal of work for anyone who wants to "retire". Commissions, commissions and in case your forgot Commissions!
Employing affiliate marketing tactics is a good start. You'll learn a great deal along the way and then build on that understanding to progress to bigger and better things such as creating your own digital products. I would suggest you focus your attention on internet marketing methods that you will employ that builds traffic to your site. That's the biggest hurdle we all must face and overcome. It will take time, no doubt about it. Take full advantage of WA training and events. They are excellent!
