BLOG POST OFFENSE

Anyone out there get offended when reading a blog post? Any blog post? A specific blog post?

Me? -guess my being offended is not easily triggered. I’ve seen a lot and therefore perhaps I’ve been harded when compared with, let’s say some guy who has, well, . . ., hopefully, you get the drift. I go by the rule of live & let live. Yet the law is the law; break it & ya gotta pay. Now un-moral laws are another matter entirely, not being discussed here.

So what is it that “offends” people out there in the WA blogsphere of the blog post? If something makes a point and points to the truth, then where could the offense be? The only thing that I can come up with is that such that offends touches off a hot button within said offendee’s soul. Ouch!

Seriously, let’s have some words about this, about offense & a blog post & being offended. I love the study of the soul & what makes it tick. If you want to get close to what life is all about, this is so way close (soul & spirit). And being a student of life, this goes beyond float’N me boat.

Anyhow, any of ya out there have any intel pertaining with above said matter, drop me a mess.

Hi Jim, I wouldn't say that I've been personally offended with any blogs that people post here at WA. However I will say there's blogs I've read here in which I don't necessarily agree with what the person is saying, but that is a totally different matter.

I do agree that if something offends someone it's pressing a hot button "within said offendee's soul" as you put it. For example if someone blogged "If you aren't making money within your first year, you're doing everything completely wrong." I can see someone who has been doing this for a significant length of time and not making money getting offended by a blog post like that. Obviously it's a touchy subject for some people and they don't like hearing others confirming their failures. But I think sometimes the truth is hard to hear when you don't want to admit you're wrong or need to really change the way you are doing things.

But... on the other hand many people post things here that aren't necessarily true, either... so I take blogs with a grain of salt. :)

Hey ya Wendy:

Yea, I agree completely. I also must say that what I am attempting to get @ is transparency is my focus. Not my focus in others, it is my focus within & for my own self. What I mean is that I keep very aware of when & if something "offends" me, then I get alone & take a HARD look into myself. I do not want anything in me that "offends", later possibly becoming a "hot button" which is even more difficult to remove.

And ya know what? I have found that by my (privately) getting rid of the offense, "pain" is no longer able to get me. I mean that the pain of offense HAS shut me down many times before. Shoot, I even ran away from home because of it / because of my having allowed it to affect me & thereby control me.
So I've learned via the oh so way deep valleys to enjoy this life & to even make it a game. Yep, I give myself rewards too. Woof Woof

Thanks for the thoughts, Wendy. I am a student of life & I take in all. C ya.

Very nice blog Jim. Great job......Ken

Hi Mr. Lewis (aka Biker Lewis):

Thanks for the complement.
