Ok aside from the part where I can't seem to rank on any keywords after weeks of work, when I look at google webmaster tools I get even more bogus data. I have 49 crawl errors for
i am pretty sure you can do a page no longer exist,it gives you the error code. I am sure there is training in here that will help you fix it,.I just can not remember exactly how to do it. But, I had to fix crawl errors of pages that no longer existed.
I also know someone here will tell you exactly how to do it probably.;]
Just wanted you to know it is ok.

That's a lot of 404 errors. Type in 404 error in search and there should be some ways to fix these. If you are still stumped, get help from support.
by the looks of it someone else owned this domain in 2011-2012 and maybe even from here at WA, at least the links are on the same subject matter. None of my stuff is ranking anyway for some fun reason.. so there is something up somewhere..

I use a static front page, I may want to write a new page and make that the static page, does that mess up Google indexing?
In had to read this a Cole times but yes, Jean is correct. If you don't remove the original landing page it should be ok.
well the permalink to the new front page would be new.. so lets say the "getting-started" is now my static front page.. now I will make a new page called "something-new" and make that the new static front page, I wont remove the getting-started page but it won't be the landing page either..
helpful little tidbit... so what you're saying is don't change the permalink names to pages after a while. even if they're not used. It sounds a lot like 'Don't cancel an old credit card even if you're not using it - the length of credit history still counts". Is that what you're saying more or less?
Nope. It could always affect what Google thinks of your site depending on how it likes the new content, but it's not an instant thumbs down by any means.
content will be same but not so much of a blunt HEY SIGN UP FOR WA hammer.. I'm taking the angle of building a free website so I need to offer some choices and lead people to my #1 choice so they are less likely to bounce when they see my #1 choice staring them in the face.. if that makes sense :)

I was just popping some keywords into the WA keyword tool and decided to compare them with Google. For example I'll choose a random keyword here, "nail polish remover" I enter that
You are seeing a common problem, Google shows you all of the related searches.
