My Success Thus Far
I transferred my Travel Blog from Bluehost to Wealthy Affiliate some time in the fall and I am seeing some success in getting traffic to my website and gaining fans on Social Media. I am gaining fans mostly on Instagram and Pinterest. In fact on Pinterest, I get a new connection almost on a daily basis. A very satisfying feeling is having someone I don't even know make a positive comment on my blog or my social media.
Another measurable form of success that is specific to travel blogs is getting invited to a travel destination, event, or resort without cost. We refer to them as hosted stays. Our family was invited to a media personnel night at the Midway Utah Ice Castles at no cost to us. In exchange for the free night we were asked to take photos and videos, and write a good blog post on our experience in the Ice Castles. I don't know how they found me, whether is was through social media or my blog itself, but that was a really neat experience and proof that the skills they teach here at Wealthy Affiliate work!
I am thankful that I moved my travel blog here to Wealthy Affiliate, because I was able to improve the website's security by turning it from an http to an https, without having to pay extra money. It is also easier to post more attractive content that stays within margins in a more sleek way when writing a post from Wealthy Affiliate's platform rather than just from wordpress itself.
Everything changed for the better on my travel blog since I moved it here to Wealthy Affiliate, and on top of that I can get the needed support from all the great people here, which I did not get at Bluehost. Thanks to everyone that has given me advice, commented on my blog, or otherwise helped me out in some way here. You are all awesome!
