A Month Into Wealthy Affiliate and I Continue to Be Amazed!

My journey into Wealthy Affiliate was sort of a round about one. I've had the entrepreneurial bug for a long time but going through a series of bad events, and failed attempts with a few different business ventures left me feeling defeated and skeptical, which I'm not by nature.

And I won't even go into how many programs I spent countless hours researching online promising to make you rich (fortunately my radar was sharpened at this time so all I lost was time and not money!)

On the flip side there were some great successes such as rehabbing a house and earning a profit, learning the ins and outs resulting in building a team and a serious MLM business, making a small income in referral marketing, etc.

Not to mention the countless hours of personal development and growth I benefited from, and truly experiencing the benefits of all the blood, sweat, and tears put into working for yourself.

So when I came upon WA unfortunately my first thought was hesitation...'another internet scam!?' But my 'never give up you will be in control of your financial destiny, plus it's a free trial what have you got to lose?' came into play.

So in July 2014 I did the free trial. I didn't touch the training until August at which point I went through the first course and built the bare bones of my website. Really?....'I set up my own website!?' I am not that great with computers.

I loved what I was learning and the support within the community, but had to take a break due to some family emergencies.

Got back into the game in late November, and found a way to come up with the money to go premium. Went premium late November and for the next two weeks learned, learned, took action, and learned some more. So thrilled by my passion and progress that I went yearly on the Black Friday special..BTW, thank you for that Kyle and Carson :)

A month in and here are some results so far:

• A legit, professional website
• A niche I'm super passionate about.
• Content I feel proud to publish. For the first time in my life I actually LOVE going to work...never experienced that a J-O-B.
• Sight is indexed on Google, in fact it is showing up on the FIRST page of Google, in fourth position...unbelievable!
• Visitor engagement thanks to this wonderful community.

These may seem like small successes to some but they are huge to me because it all boils down to one thing: Tangibility...it's happening, for the first time I am seeing a legitimate way to help others and make a living doing it!

I have been going about my learning process very deliberately, the pressure to learn fast never has appealed to me, so I find myself revisiting training to make sure I'm absorbing what I learn, and I can see there will always be something new.

Thank you Kyle and Carson for caring enough to invest your time, efforts, and money into a platform for others to create thriving internet businesses. And thank you WA members for being such a helpful, and supportive community of like minded people all working towards similar goals. If you want to be successful surround yourself with successful people.

If I can do this anyone can, my computer skills are not that great, all the training and resources are here we just need to learn, apply, and do it again...I think they call it rinse and repeat, right?

Time to get into Level 3 (Money Making)...can't wait!
