I'm a fan of Jim Rohn and feel his teachings have made a big impact on my life. Here's a post I put on my personal blog a while back that might be helpful to some.....

Success is what you Become....

One of the great success coaches, Jim Rohn has talked a lot about Success being what you become, rather than what you pursue. So often people will look for success in various programs and opportunities and forget that in order to achieve true success we must first look a little closer to home.

Success is more about what we become, as Jim Rohn put it:

“Success is not something you pursue. What you pursue will elude you. It can be like trying to chase butterflies. Success is something you attract and accumulate by the person you become.” — Jim Rohn

Success is achieved through personal development and becoming a successful person. If one is not successful now, it’s because of the person they have been in the past that has led up to the present point in their lives. In order to become successful in the future, one must become a different person which would attract success.

Successful people get started early and/or stay late.

Successful people exercise to take care of their health and stay energetic.

Successful people eat healthy so that they are healthy and have high energy.

Successful people study the lives of other successful people.

Successful people read lots of books and/or listen to successful people’s programs.

Successful people set goals and dream big.

Successful people make themselves be disciplined to achieved the things that need done.

The list goes on….

If a person doesn’t do the things successful people do, then they are not as successful as they could be. And to become more successful we need to change ourselves in the areas that are lacking. We need to become different people. It’s all about change… growth… personal development.

As Mr Rohn emphasizes, when we become a person with the traits of a successful person, then success will be attracted to us.
