Hail To The Victors - Michigan Wolverines!
I have a happy husband today!
He has always followed College Football, and in particular, his alma mater, the University of Michigan.
He was on tenterhooks all day yesterday because the Wolverines were facing the Washington Huskies in the College Championship Game.
The Wolverines were the victors with a score of 34 - 13!
I dropped him at the local sports bar, so he could watch the game on the big screen, and went to my rehearsal for "Calendar Girls". I knew it was going to be a late finish because the game didn't start until 7.30 pm.
So, when I got home, I went and joined him for the second half of the game. Even though I don't really understand American Football, it was still quite exciting. And when everyone was cheering, I often had to ask him what had happened.
It was great seeing the team celebrating at the end. Here is JJ McCarthy - the Quarterback at the end of the game.
There's nothing quite like a College Football Championship win to keep the boy happy!

It was a great game. Michigan definitely dominated. We're Big10 fans, so we were very happy. Additionally, FINALLY, there was no SEC team in the finals!
