200K Monthly Viewers on Pinterest!

Last Update: June 18, 2018

Today I have set up my second WA training: "IZEA - Another way to monetize your blog" and I read a few posts in this great WA community.

So, I came across Erin's post about Pinterest:
"Insane Traffic: Ergo, Try Pinterest!"

That is why I decided to join the acknowledgment of this social network.
As you can see in the picture from my Pinterest profile, I have more than 200,000 monthly viewers. Perhaps this is not a strange thing for someone who has a Pinterest profile for a couple of years or a well-known brand, but I've only taken this profile for just 7 months.

It does not mean anything in itself unless you have visitors to your site coming from Pinterest. My next image shows my visit to the site, which comes from social networks in the last month.

As you can see, I have far more people from Pinterest than other social networks.

What's great at Pinterest that you really do not have to do much to make a difference.

Here are some tips for Pinterest Growth:

1. Create 2 to 4 pins for each blog post (put one picture on the blog and the other directly on Pinterest with different descriptions but the same link)

2. Canva.com is a free and very easy program you can use to create pins (Recommended Size is Image Ratio 2: 3, 600 x 900 pixels)

3. Put the Social Share widget on your site

4. If you create a new profile, create a "Business" profile and a minimum of 10 Boards. If you already have a Pinterest account, switch to "business".

5. Join the Pinterest Group Boards in your niche (you can find them here: pingroupie.com )

6. Use Boardbooster or Tailwind to make your pins schedule (this will save you a lot of time)

If you set everything up, you will not need more than half an hour or an hour a week and your Pinterest account will grow!

P.S. I'm preparing a Pinterest eBook that will be released in September. If you are interested in finding out more about Pinterest, write me in the inbox.

Happy pinning!
Jelena

This is really interesting.
That is an awful lot of traffic compared to what I am getting and it makes me wonder what the conversion rate is.
In other words all this traffic = how many sales?
And I am not asking you personally (although be happy to hear your results) but rather asking anyone who uses Pintrest for generating traffic.
Thanks for posting and I will check those links out.

The sales come through the consistency

Is one just to blindly accept if you work for x and do y that you will eventually make a sale?
What I would like to know is:
1. Before this traffic what were the sales numbers?
2. Since traffic what has been the % increase?
What you are saying Dave could be interpreted as - no sales yet but keep working consistently and they will kick in at 4267 visits to the site per day.
In which case I ask myself is my time not better spent creating content, creating content creating content and if I do will this give me a better rate of return?
I suppose there is no definitive answer and one must choose a course of action that either way MAY one day yield results.
I shall carry on rewardless :)
Thanks for repying

What are "pins", what is the "Social Share widget", and what is "Boardbooster or Tailwind"? I am still very new to this and I work full-time so I'm trying to do as much as possible in my free time when I come home from work to not get discouraged. Please help!

Hey Dalia,

Wow... here goes:
1.) a pin in Pinterest is simply an image you "pin" to your Pinterest board.
2.) a Social Share widget - In simplest of terms, Buffer provides its users with a social sharing widget that can be used to quickly and easily share and schedule content across a multitude of social networks all at the same time. (definition compliments of colorlib.com)
3.) BoardBooster is a program that allows you to schedule pins on Pinterest. (definition compliments of brittneyllynn.com)
4.) Tailwind - Save time scheduling to Pinterest and Instagram, post at the best times for engagement, grow together with Tribes, get more actionable analytics. (definition compliments of tailwindapp.com)

Hope this helps you.

I'm just getting started on Pinterest myself, so this is one of the training blogs I looked up to start, and it was really helpful. If you are going through your lessons and haven't gotten to things like this yet, don't worry. You will get there in the lessons, don't try to jump ahead too far or it can overwhelm you.

Thanks for sharing Jelena, I need to try Boardbooster and Tailwind, Best Alan

Tailwind is great! For me, Boardbooster is a little complicated. In either case, you can try both. Some bloggers use both while I started with Boardbooster and later moved to Tailwind.

Thanks for sharing, I also find Pinterest is helping me to get more traffic to my sites.
Since yesterday Pinterest doesn't allow me to repin, is this happening to you too?
Reply
JelenaBB Premium
No, but I've been reading on some Facebook groups that this has happened to them. It was probably some update.

I have two different accounts on Pinterest, I get this problem on one account and on the second account Pinterest asked me if I want to turn off this application, I just did it and it worked good.
Now I need to find the way to do the same on the other account.

That's incredible, Jelena!

I really haven't done anything on Pinerest, which is a shame considering that I'm always doing some sort of decorating that I could easily take pictures of and pin them to my wall.

It really just comes down to scheduling the time to do it.

start with Pinterest. They made some algorithmic changes this year and made a big deal. I think Pinterest will grow, for now it's still easy to get a good ladder and get good traffic.
Also, on Pinterest, there are about 80% of women. And there is also a large percentage of purchasing products directly from Pinterest.
Reply

80% of the users are women! I figured there were a lot more women on Pinterest than men, but I would not have imagined that it was that much of a gap.

That's definitely good to know. Thanks, Jelena!

Great advice, I've been thinking about it. But English is my second language and I am very afraid of video footage and how my English will be correct.
