One Month And 20,000 Words Later.

As I'm writing this post, it's been just over one month since I joined WA and signed on as a premium member. So how's it going you ask? Swimmingly! (<--- don't get to use this word neaarly enough!)

Of course the community atmosphere and support system here at WA is second to none. But one of the best parts is - through the training and resources - I've been able to focus on and develop an actual business plan.

I mean, that's what we're all doing here. Yes, we're creating content and by many measures, 'blogging' ~ but we're doing it strategically and with a business-oriented methodology.

I teach English to business clients in Tokyo, I have an MBA and I do digital marketing. But this website is the closest thing to an actual business and brand that I've developed.

Although I've not broken even or started to generate revenue (and I don't expect to as I'm still in the start up phase), I already feel successful.

And this feeling was immediately apparent after joining the WA platform. I'm provided with a clear path and strategic formula using best practices and top resources for building and monetizing an onilne business.

I know that I now have a digital business card to show people. It's a form of social proof that validates my area of expertise and builds credibility as I network.

I now have an asset that I'm cultivating and that I'm confident will to work for me moving forward in the years to come.

I've connected with many great people and I'm totally pysched that my website is actually helping visitors.

And this is an important point! When we focus on giving value first (a central marketing tenet and a topic discussed here at WA), then our visitors and prospects naturally feel happier and trust us more. But the interesting thing is, I also (personally) feel better.

I've never been a good sales person, but through providing value and building an online resource for people to use and learn from, I have no qualms promoting the products and services I recommend.

It's only been one month, but I'm excited to see what content I create next and who I connect with in the coming weeks, months and years.

I went strong this first month and uploaded a full course (as a series of posts) within my site, added some "low hanging fruit" articles and learned the WordPress platform comfortably - it's an ongoing process and I'm rather pleased with it all!

So cheers to everyone that's helped/reached out and cheers to nathaniell, Kyle and WA for being rad!
