Obviously this will not apply to everyone, however if you can use some of this in what you do, it works like magic.
I promote an online supermarket with 450 Eco friendly, nontoxic products, obviously when people first find out about my product range they may wish to get some 3rd party references. I put these people into a Facebook group, here my potential customers can see reviews from my existing customers, and furthermore they can also ask my existing customers questions about their experience with my products. Because the types of people who are attracted to Eco friendly toxin free products are often passionate about the cause, they are usually happy to answer.
I also work with other affiliates who chose to market the supermarket, people often approach me to help them generate an income in this way, I do the same thing in this case. I put the potential affiliate in a Facebook group with my current affiliates, allowing the potential affiliates to ask questions of others already involved in working with me.
When you work online, people do not have a great deal of information about you, by letting them know who you are and putting them in an environment where they can wander, ask questions, and get 3rd party references about you, gives them the social proof they need to move in the right direction.
