I think I have a sales funnel!
It's been awhile since my last post, but I've been working really hard on building my online following. I've been using various methods and have had varying degrees of success.
Overall, I've realized how important your success depends on having a niche and a target audience. Market to everyone and you market to no one.
Prime example, I've been creating and building my online health and fitness coaching program. I would post ads saying something like. I'm looking for people that want to burn fat or build muscle I guarantee my results!!! I would be lucky to get 1 reply.
I would then post something like, I'm looking for females that want to lose 10-15 lbs of body fat. If you're ready to put in the time and effort, I can help you
-feel more energized
-fit into your clothes better
-look and feel great
The second ad would get 20-30 respondents on one facebook post...every time.
Here's where my sales funnel came together.
I offered a chance to win a free 8-week fitness and nutrition program for anyone who filled out a form I created using contact 7 form plugin. I advertised to a specific audience and got the word out through all means necessary(facebook, Adwords, etc...). I used AdWords and WA keyword tool to help choose keywords.
The form they filled out linked to my mailchimp account and automatically added the entrants to a specific list.
After two days I had over 100 entrants. I announced the winner tonight and sent my first email to a sizeable list. (very proud of myself lol)
I specifically said in bold letters to the winner for everyone to see.
You have 72 hours to claim your prize!
I told everyone else to be on the lookout for an email from me 3 days from now because I might be announcing a new winner.
If the winner claims the prize I will offer the first 30 applicants a free 1-week trial in the program as a thank you for entering. This will put a time constraint and make it a sense of urgency. Also, It's a win for them because they will get some awesome workouts to do at home for free.
The thing is, it's with limited access to the program and no nutritional guidance (which is also an ebook I wrote that comes with the program).
At the end of the one-week trial, I will send everyone in the program an email to offer them a discount to sign-up for the full program.
It's a decent amount of money to signup for the program, but I think the process will inevitably result in a few conversions. (finger's crossed!)
Regardless, I get exposure and positive PR because I'm giving stuff away to a receptive audience. I'm also building a list... a very specific marketable list.
Now, Let's see how many converts I can get!

That's great that you're narrowing down your target audience. Best of luck with this tactic.
You mentioned you use Mailchimp... how's that working out for you? I'm thinking of starting email marketing soon and have been considering Aweber.
I'm doing mail chimp because you can get 2000 subscribers for free. So far it's been awesome. Great looking emails and lots of compatibilty options. Just be careful sending affiliate links. They will lock up your account if you break the rules and it's almost impossible to get help with the free version. (Trust me i know) Other than that I'm really happy.
Thanks Jeff! I'm going to look into Mailchimp then and once I get to 2,000 I will see about switching to the paid version or Aweber.

Great. congrats.
Can you tell me please where i can get the practical training on HOW to do that?
Thanks
From what I've learned, every situation is different. The most important thing is understanding your customer. That's much easier said than done. I think that's why most people start with a customer in mind and develope a product for them. Best thing you can do is to keep learning and hope it doesn't take the better part of a decade to figure it out. If you want some help you can try Niel Patel. He might be alittle advanced for your situation (he certainly is for me) but there is some good info in there. Best of luck!
thank you, Sir. Will do. But where can i find Niel Patel? He doesn't appear on the WA members list.
Quicksprout.com
He's done work for Amazon. Com as well as a few other big name sites. He's popular in the online marketing world. Would be surprised if he is a member here lol.
So, does this guy have some useful app I can buy?
Thanks. Ciao
