Here is the third installment of the EBAY house! There is more disorganization than meets the eye! Despite all this, there are still many treasures to be uncovered! Looking at Shadow and Star this morning, I was dismayed that they still choose not to go there with me!

Well, we're not going to let their current attitude stop us from pushing forward! At long last, here are some more pictures, but I'm warning you now--they are not for the faint of heart or for people with OCD (Heidi--you can escape now--I'm not responsible for any heart trauma further in 😜) So here goes:

The hallway in the basement, and the staircase with the "smalls" as a friend of mine called all the shadowboxes with assorted miniatures. I have many more of them not on display, but rather in boxes!

I've even sold many on eBay successfully in years past!

Old Magazines and books are in abundance throughout the house as well as huge assortments of military gear!

I have cameras and photographic equipment galore, film, tripods, accessories a lot displayed, scads more boxed up. They will probably encompass their own blog post!

I have eclectic items like the old slot machine from a Japanese cruise ship, and a pachinko machine at one of my other places. Vintage radios and stereo consoles--floor model radios from the thirties and forties that are quite elegant to look at! These photos represent an accumulation over years of "Collecting Collections"

There are many things stored in tubs below that I don't even remember what is in there, they have been stored for so long!

Rediscovering these treasures is akin to peeling an onion! With each successive layer you never know what you're going to get.

Wow! That is superb.
But you are right. As i get into the training, i find it overwhelming.
As if I am in UNI again as i did never have any IT lessons before so everything is a hard work for me. Hope to get through still.
Need courage & persistence really. πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Cheers,
Villarose

Glad to see that you are moving along, Villarose! Slow and easy wins this race--then SUCCESS!🐒🐒

That is quite an inventory you have shown us so far!

Looking past the multitude of items, I do have a question: do you have a system of inventory? Do you know exactly what items you have, how many, and where they are located?

From what I've seen it appears you may already have a system!

This has to rival most any Amazon warehouse and distribution center - a gold mine in disguise!

Susan,

I used to have a coherent inventory, but then things started coming in fast and furious, so that went by the way side. My limestone warehouse complex has been likened to looking like the last scene in the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" when God's arc of the covenant was rolled into the huge government warehouse with crates stacked to the ceiling!πŸ™„

Jeff

At least you are creating a visual inventory with your images!
Looking forward to your next post πŸ˜…

I,m putting one together--still getting some pictures sorted, but my next one will be a short motivational piece, then the 3rd interior installment of the basement!😜

Jeff, buying collectors collections is a lot of fun. Yet, your series is reminding me of the importance of letting go of some of my fun auction finds.

I can not envision myself having an Ebay house to store them in. Nor do I see myself buying another 4,900 square foot house to process and store my great auction finds.

Well, thinking about our auction finds reminds me that I wanted to go walk through another antique mall today to get inspiration for booth ideas. I am also meeting with their owners on Thursday to look into having a space in their mall also.

Having a booth at an antique mall and vintage market place has been a fun way to get to know other collectors. Have you considered doing that?

I talk to local collectors here, but I haven't gone to any fairs or anything! My physical business keeps me around the area most of the time, but that IS a great thought that you have, Sondra, and I'll certainly be giving it some consideration!πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘πŸ‘

What can i say Jeff !You have it all and you just dont know.Get rid of it soon .Suppose you have to move.I remember when i was in love with old antique furnitureI. I loved them so much that i could not get rid of them. All the best to you and your collecting.

Thank you very much, Neville!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

When you thank me i thank you too ,thats the nicest thing to do.
