Most companies find that by using a good incentive they can cut their advertising cost by at least 50% while doubling or even tripling their profits.

Incentives are also awesome for lead capture. Incentives catch peoples attention and gives them incentive to try your services or offer. You can capture a ton of leads with incentives whereas without any it will take you a lot longer to reach your business goals.

So you already have leads but some of them are still sitting on the fence of indecision. They can't decide to buy because of some unforeseen reason but are still holding on, still thinking about it, have to talk it over with their spouse, or a million and one other reasons. Nice post and you are correct in having the incentives to persuade people to buy from you and not someone else. In building a website that would be in our content offering more so it give the people a trust in you that they feel comfortable with purchasing from your site instead of going elsewhere.
