Hello WA Family

It is great to be able to write these posts to help new members. I encourage experienced members to share their experiences as well in the comments section. Today we are going to explore Sub-Niches. These are what you want to look for when choosing your niche.

What is a Sub-Niche

A sub-niche is a smaller, more specific segment of a niche market. Here is an example to help you understand sub-niches even more.

Lets say you have a passion for the fitness niche. Now fitness is way too large of a market for you to promote. We are going to need to narrow this down into a more specific sub-niche.

Vegan fitness for women over 50 would be one example you could possibly promote instead. By targeting women over 50 as your target audience, who are vegans you are narrowing down your competition.

Sub-Niche Examples

I decided to provide with more examples that will help you understand this even more.

  • Travel Niche
  • Solo travel for budget-friendly travelers over 60
  • Food Niche
  • Gluten-free baking recipes
  • Technology Niche
  • Eco-friendly gadgets for the home

By targeting a smaller group of people, you can create more targeted content and products that are more likely to be relevant with your audience.

Sub-Niche Benefits

Sub-niches are typically less competitive. This means it's easier to stand out and reach your target audience.

People in sub-niches are often more passionate about their interests. This means they're more likely to engage with your content and buy your products.

Focusing on a sub-niche is recommended by Kyle in his training. Since I started using this technique, I have experienced more success in sales.

Sub-Niches for New Members

If this is your first time building a website and growing an online business there are better choices to consider. In the end, I recommend you follow your heart and not overthink this decision.

Vegan baking recipes for beginners.

You can share easy-to-follow recipes and tips specific to vegan baking. A very easy sub-niche to write content for. It will help if you have an interest in vegan baking.

Home workouts for busy moms.

You can create workout routines that are manageable within their busy schedules.

Training tricks for rescue dogs.

You can share training tips and resources specifically tailored for rescue dogs.

The key is to do your research, choose something you're passionate and focus on solving your target audiences problems.

I hope this helps you understand sub-niches,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
My niche is Making Money Online, promoting WA. I guess that's too broad. Should I break it down to, Side Hustle for Stay at Home Moms, maybe? I really wanted to reach anyone looking to have an online business. If I break it down, do I need to change the name of my niche in my hub, or just make my content reflect that when I write? Or should I just leave the niche as is? Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks,
Jena 🙂

Hello Jena

You will do better by targeting a specific audience especially in the money making niche. It is very competitive and will take you time to become an authority.

I am in the same niche promoting WA. I am writing to help people on disability supplement their income

Target Audience Ideas

Stay at Home Moms
Seniors Retirement Planning
Unemployed
People tired of the 9 to 5 job
New careers
College Students
Veterans
Disabled Individuals

I hope this gets you thinking Jena

Thanks so much, Jeff! This helps so much and those are great ideas! Ì think I'm going to target stay at home moms. Should I change the name of my niche in my Hubs?
