Dawg Solutions My Third Website Completed

Hello WA Family,

I accomplished my ultimate goal creating three websites all helping older adults, but each website provides help in different ways.

What have you been working on? Please share what projects you are working on or have completed, maybe you are stuggling with a WordPress theme or like myself a email marketing service?

Dawg Solutions

Dawg Solutions is a gentle, education-first website I recently launched for seniors who are caring for aging dogs. As both a senior myself and the human to an older dog named Aussie, I wanted to create a calm, reassuring space that helps older adults understand mobility changes, comfort needs, and emotional shifts in senior dogs — without fear, guilt, or pressure to spend money.

The site focuses on practical guidance, simple routines, and the deep bond that forms when an older person and an older dog care for each other. It’s not about products or hype — it’s about companionship, patience, and making the later years more comfortable for both ends of the leash.

Dawg Solutions is also part of my larger mission of building senior-friendly, trust-based websites that educate first and monetize second — something I know many WA members care deeply about.

Why MailerLite And I Are Parting Ways

I also want to share a quick lesson learned around MailerLite, especially for members who are just choosing an email service.

On paper, MailerLite looks like a great option — affordable, popular, and often recommended for beginners. I chose it for that reason. But in practice, I ran into ongoing issues that slowed my momentum instead of supporting it: confusing automation triggers, approval delays, unexpected limitations, and a setup process that felt unnecessarily stressful — especially when managing multiple senior-focused sites.

For me, email marketing should feel simple, reliable, and predictable. Instead, I found myself troubleshooting more than creating — which is the opposite of what most of us want when building content-driven sites.

This isn’t a warning to avoid MailerLite at all costs — it works well for many people — but it is a reminder to carefully test any email platform before fully committing. What looks “beginner-friendly” in marketing doesn’t always feel beginner-friendly in real-world use.

If there’s one takeaway:
choose the tool that supports your workflow, not the one that’s just most commonly recommended.

I’m currently reassessing my email setup so it better fits how I actually build and publish — and that lesson alone was worth sharing with fellow WA members.

Any comments or feedback Welcomed

Jeff

Your website looks very nice, and what a beautiful dog! I bookmarked your site as I may be able to link to it from my pet website. 🙂

Cool Willow that you have a pet website, I might be able to link to your website as well since mine is focusing on dogs and dog owners. My website is an educational website for now, so I have no products or services that I am promoting.

How did you do today with your website theme?

Jeff

3

I didn't get to it.

I had a SNAFU happen with Windows Copilot and wrote a blog about it.

It is something to be aware of with AI.

JD

That alright JD

You got something productive done anyway. Cool you wrote about your experience with Windows Copilot, that is very motivating of you to use your experience to write content for your website.

Smart move JD

Thanks, Jeff.

It might make it to my website, but I wrote it as a warning to WA members. Check it out.

Morning, Jeff.

The article is already live on WA. Here it is. JD

I love that concept: Dawg Solutions. As a senior human to a senior dog, I know of the struggles. I'm working through incontinence issues and sun-downer's syndrome. And recently, my dearest Abby is waking me up at least once to get her diaper changed. Amazingly, she goes right back to sleep afterward😎

4

Hello Lisa

Thank you for reading and sharing. It sounds like your dearest Abby is keeping you on the move quite a bit these days.

How old is Abby?
Jeff

4

She is 14. I also have a boy, Ollie, who is 7🥰

4

Hello Lisa

So nice that you have a boy and a girl. I have all boys, they are grownup now and live quite a distance from me.

Do you live someplace warm? Its very cold here with snow on the ground now, not my idea of a good time of the year.

At least Santa will be arriving soon,

Jeff

All my 2-legged children are grown and live far away too. But my 4-legged children are keeping my nurturing nature alive.

I'm in Tennessee, where it is quite cold now. Just a dusting of snow this morning. But I'm a Florida Gal at heart!

4

Hello Lisa

I have one four legged child at home yet, his name is Aussie a Australian Shepherd will be 7 December 23rd. He is having some arthritis this winter with the cold and snow, I never knew Tennesse got cold and snow.

Florida sure does sound nice about now, its very cold here with about 6 inches of snow on the ground. My mom has a yorkie, her name is Bella 6 years old and she really dislikes the cold and snow.

Keep in touch if you wish to,

Jeff
