My Continuing Journey

So here is a quick update of my progress so far. I’ve been here for about three months. It’s been a slow go for me with a full time job and a family. I’m just over halfway through course 4. I’m happy with the way my site is looking so far. I’ve created a logo, and publish about every 3 – 5 days.

Content has been an issue for me. My niche is ponds and back yard projects. I have 20 published articles, all but one is indexed in google.

I am struggling to get traffic to my site. I generate about 5 – 10 visits per day. I am just wondering if I’m doing something wrong when it comes to key word research. I have seen many inspirational stories here, and that’s what keeps me going. I’m just waiting for the flood gates to open, and I know they will if I keep my head down and drive forward!

This is a wonderful community filled with people willing to help. I would like to thank Kyle and Carson for creating this incredible opportunity for people to make something amazing and be a part of such a great thing.

Over the next three months I am going to continue to do key word research and try Kyles method of writing multiple articles at the same time. Hopefully this will help my efficiency.

My goal for the next 6 months is to generate 1000 visitors per month to my site. I know for many of you this may seem like a small feat, but for me it would give me even more motivation to keep moving forward. Thank you to all the WA community, keep inspiring!

Jeff

I like your spirit Jeff, everyone starting out has these slow moments, lots of pictures etc has people wanting to copy what you've shown them. I wouldn't know where to start in your niche, so you've a lot of experience to share.

Not sure what geo you are targeting but if it's the US, that could be part of the reason why you aren't getting a lot of traffic yet - seasonality! I know I won't think much about my backyard until late April or later. You have the articles in place so that when people are ready to search, you'll be there. See if seasonality is what's happening right now.

You may be right. I didn't really think of that. Thanks!

Patience will be rewarded. - Shirley

One of the things I have learned here at WA is patience. Your traffic will come.
