BTW, newbie alert. It's my second day on the "job" at WA and I'm on lesson 2 in the starter course and I GOTTA say, I've been coming across some very important, thought provoking questions. I'm specifically talking about the questions on goals. The thing is, I didn't really give it much thought before now what my goals were, and I didn't even realize that UNTIL now. I know vaguely what I want to achieve, but have I set any intermediate goals for myself to get there? Nope. Do I know the details of my dream end result that I so desperately want? Ashamed to say, no I do not. But that changes now.
The latest set of questions that I've come across appear under the "what are my non financial goals?" section. Okay, seems simple enough....but then I scroll down. And the first question asks me:
What do I want to achieve in 10 days?
Whoa there! Aren't we moving a bit too fast? That isn't even a good fortnight! We haven't even gotten to know each other well and already, I'm suppose to be making plans to achieve something noteworthy by day 10?? WA, you don't play. But I love it. Lame jokes aside, WA is already pushing me to think, in details, how I'm going to reach my ultimate goal of financial freedom. Financial freedom won't come easy. It won't come overnight. And apparently, it doesn't come by leaving things in the air and hoping that they will miraculously fall in place on the ground to build the foundation I need to get where I want to go. Which I was unconsciously doing. Until now. So, without further ado, here are my non financial goals:
In 10 days: I want a website up and running, in a niche that I'm passionate about.
In 30 days: I want to have a routine going, placing content on my site 2 times a week every week, Mondays and Fridays. I should have at least 4 posts by then.
In 6 months: To be honest, I've always seen myself as a youtube star. So, I want video content up on my site as well as blog posts. I want at least 10 videos up and 40 blogs posted on my site. I also want my first sale by this time! Yeah, I had to slip in a bit of mula goals in there ;)
In 1 year: I want 100 faithful followers on my site. (As I typed that, I have to admit, I felt a pang of doubt that I can even achieve this....small as the number may be for some people on here. But this would really make my day).
As you can see, although the goals are non financial, they still relate to the business. But since they are the milestones that will show that I'm getting myself out there, connecting to the world, empowering myself and hopefully helping others along the way, I also view them as personal goals. So there it is, my non financial goals. Whew, this was harder to figure out than my financial goals! Who would've thought...
Anyway, what do you think? Are my goals too business based? What are your goals? (maybe reading your comments will help me revamp mine :) )
