It's the first day of spring! Yay! Warmer weather? Some rain maybe? The grass getting green and leaves coming back on trees? Crocuses and hyacinths peeking through the thawing soil?Wrong! It's snowing on the first day of spring! Not exactly what we want the first day of spring to look like, is it? Things do not always turn out the way we expect or think they should. We don't have control over some things (like the weather for instance). But what we can control is our reaction to what hap

Hi friends. I got a letter from my electrical provider stating that they would be installing a new “Smart Meter” to replace the old analog one. Does anyone have one of these already installed?I can’t find much good about them online. But there are horror stories of people’s electrical bill doubling or more. And health concerns because of the waves they omit. I’m unclear on whether I can refuse. Some said in PA it is mandatory. I would love to hear your thoughts and

Hi friends and cyber family.I just renewed my yearly premium and took advantage of the Black Friday Sale. So you will have to put up with me for at least another year. I haven’t been very active on here lately; but I hope to be gradually getting back into the swing of things.Remember these words of Walt Disney:The difference between winning and losing is, most often...not quitting.I hope you are enjoying the holidays, your life, and your time on WA!Jeannie

Hi there cyber family..It's been a while since I posted. I have actually been away from WA for a month. I had a medical procedure I needed to take care of and I just needed some time off. So now I'm back; but feeling a little disconnected still. So to start getting back in the swing of things and possibly help others too... I came up with a very simple list of what I can and can't do. I CAN1. I CAN learn and grow2. I CAN endure3. I CAN persevere4. I CAN change5. I CAN overcomeI CAN'T 1. I CAN'T

Hi friends.I think I may have to borrow Michael's soapbox for this one. I have written about this many times; but I think it bears repeating, especially for any newbies out there. There is a difference between comments and feedback.Comments:Comments are to be specific to the post that comments were requested for. There seems to be quite a bit of confusion about this. I continue to get feedback when I ask for comments. There is no need to look over the whole site (although you may) when ask

Hi friends and cyber family.I wasn't able to get on Wealthy Affiliate all day and night yesterday from my computer or my iPhone. Today I finally got on, went to my website and tried to do my updates, but a pop up came up saying "briefly scheduled for maintenance". I checked back in a little and it said the same thing. Is anyone else having trouble, or am I the only lucky one?In any case, I hope you all have a great day!Jeannie

Hi friends and cyber family.I just love this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt.Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. ~Eleanor RooseveltWhich do you discuss? Most of us discuss all three from time to time. But what one do you spend the most time talking about? Here at WA, we discuss ideas. Dreams, visions, goals, plans; but mostly ideas, right?Jeannie

Hi friends. My how time flies. I got a pop up today telling me I had earned a new Dedication Badge for being here a year. I thought my anniversary was nearer the end of the month; but I guess not.I have learned a lot in my year here. But most likely not as much as most of you have learned because of my turtle status. I am disappointed that I didn't get done with all the certification courses. It was kind of an unspoken goal I had. I'm on the last leg but not finished yet. Then I want to g

Hi friends and cyber family.I watched Doctor Oz this evening and he had a person on there from LifeHacks.org. He was advocating taking cold showers for our health. Brrrr. I'm always the one taking forever to get used to the swimming pool water. I'm okay putting my feet in and my legs; but when the cold water hits belly level....Brrrrrr! Can I take a cold shower? Well, after hearing the benefits, I might be willing to try.1. Burn belly fat2. Boost recovery after exercise3. Increase mood

Hi WA friends and cyber family.Have you ever been undecided? Have you had a hard time making up your mind about something? It can be rather debilitating if you let it. There are times that any decision is better than no decision.Being decisive is a characteristic to foster in relation to building our internet businesses.Sometimes though, something is so important that we need to take some time to decide; and not jump into or out of something on a whim. The causes of indecision are varied an
